I want to get mirror tints for my 04 red mustang, because I believe if I got the dark tints I would go as dark as I can get and I would be getting harrassed by cops more often, especially in my area. I want to get the relfective tints but I would like to see what they look like if someone else has already gotten them and can post a picture. If you have any other color / variation of tint post your picture anyways just so I can get an idea. Much appreciated. Thank You.

Daniel

Here is a follow up -- obviously not the same car as mine, but the look is the kind I want for the tints on my car. Does anyone have any pics? If you tinted your stang out, post some pics! much appreciated, ty.

Heres mine. Im glad i went with 5% and not any lighter. I have no problem seeing through it at night like i thought i would have. No cop problem as of yet but its only been a week (knock on wood) I almost want it darker. I think mirror tint is really cool looking but i dont think id ever put it on my car

My '69 came from the factory with tinted windows, however it's not the sort of tint you're all thinking of.

Look. The Mustang was acquired. It is not the car I would have picked if I could have considering a reasonable price range (the chrysler 300 silver). This is the way I want my car to look. I am not trying to be rude, but I'm not a mustang enthusiast. I just want mirror tints, and was wondering if I could see a picture of it before I go into a store and ask them to do it.

its going to be hard finding a pic. but yeah. you got a mustang. but you wanted a 300? 300c maybebut my preferance is no chrysler at all. id rather of had a pontiac or maybe a chevy but this is what i got. only ford ill ever own too. XD
but why a mustang instead of a sebring? seems more like a choice for someone on a budget who loves 300s?

I want to black out my mustang too, 2004. BlackGTcb, looks real nice. But Lesane if majority of people on the forums say dont get mirror tint, I wouldnt recommend it. I think that mirror tint you showed would look hidious on a Mustang. Stick with black, no other colors.

By acquired, I mean the mustang was handed to me by my grandfather without him telling me after he died. I would never buy a sebring ever anyways after I saw michael scott driving one. LoL. Seriously though, The car is red and a sports car already. I don't think I should get dark tints because they are generic. I have a very big taste for custom. I can understand why someone like missy elliot would buy a lime green lamborghini with matching lime green interior no matter how much it costed. Besides how they look, I'm also getting the tints so I can bang chicks in my car and no one can see in. That's why I like the mirror tints. They absoloutly can't be seen through. If someone was advising me against it because mirror tints weren't as durable or something like that I would seriously take it into consideration. But don't tell me what style would look good and what wouldn't because I know what I like, and I don't care what the majority of people like. That's why it's my car.

By the way -- nice car blackbeauty. That thing is lookin hot. I realized I neglected to mention I don't have the GT Model. I think its just a regular '04. It's red.

Mirror tint is less durable. Now you wont buy it. :Dhaha kidding, but this is true, your taste is your taste.

Be sure you look up your local laws before you just decide to go ahead and do it, most places have laws against normal tint beyond a certain level, let alone mirror tint that you can't see through at all- Florida is no different strict laws about it there. You may just end up driving around in a giant "PULL ME OVER" sign around every police officer and end up having to pay lots of tickets if you don't remove it or make it legal.

And as for your personal taste, have you seen a red car with mirror tint? Usually it only looks "good" on a black or silver car.

The reason cops hastle people with dark tint is because they can't see the person driving / what's inside. I'm almost 100% sure you'd be more likely to get pulled over because the cop can't see in at all with mirror tint as opposed to slightly

If I had seen a red mustang with window tints why would I ever make a post asking to see pictures of mustangs with window tints?

I am going to a place in Miami called "Senor Stereo". My friend told me they have very many different kinds of window mirror tints. I think I'm going to go with a sunset/yellow orange color mirror tint if they have it. I canmake sure they are legal before I buy them so I won't get ticketed. I think it is going to look hot. When I get it done I will post the pictures here. The thing is though, vehicles like the Lexus Soccer Mom Van come stock with mirror tints where you can't even see inside the car. I don't see soccer moms getting harrassed for stock window tints, and they couldn't even really because they come stock. I appreciate everyones advice and suggestions, and after seeing a few two tone mustangs I'm even considering dropping a couple g's to paint it up. But that's much in the future. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

i personally say, either park the mustang in a garage and leave it. or sell it and by a new car. i do not recommend the mirror tint i personally think it looks terrible but on a statistic side since that is what you want. people are more likely to see something shiny and go for it. no if and or buts about it. that is just the way things work. i am against the mirror tint but, if you want to do it, do it. it is your car do what you will. i just hope you put black tint if anything on it. keep it red 5% tint all the way around i have had 5% for 3 years now on mine and i have not gotten pulled over or anything for that reason yet. plus if you get the 5% done right then you will not be able to see in the car at night, haha believe me. but do what you will.

Guys, no one is going to convince this guy that his car is going to look like **** with the mirror tint.......

He is one of those kids you see driving the neon with $200 worth of Advanced Auto mods.....

Just go get the mirror tint and post pictures so we can all make fun of you.

Oh and in some states it IS illegal, and even if it isnt, it might as well be. If you live in central Ohio, you can be certain that I would pull you over if I were to see you.

All I did was state my opinion, which is not popular, but suitable, because it is my car. Look how you are reacting. Look at what you said. Look at what you assumed. Just because you have voids in your personal life doesn't mean you have to come in here and channel your rage onto others because you are cloaked in the anonimity of the internet.

I don't think the mirror tint looks aweful but i do see how it doesn't quite belongon a mustang. If he wants to put the mirror tint on there then whatever as long as he's happy driving his car. so long as I don't see him drive by with a park bench knight rider style spoiler on it I don't car what tint he uses.

On a side note what do you guys think of lightly colored tints? like a real light red tint on a red stang?

I think colored tints would look even worse than mirror tints.
