Its a Mustang not a mazda, your milage is supposed to suck. Smiles per gallon are what matter.

But my record on one tank of gas was 382. My average in NM doing mostly hwy driving was 350ish. And this is with 4.10s. Once I get back to the states and move to Phoenix ill probably be down in the 200-250 range.

The computer is not very accurate and only gives you an average from the last reset. I hand calculate mine fill-up to fill-up, then average it over the month.  I drive 90% highway at ~75MPH, 10% rural back roads.   I average 23.2 MPG.

16.6 mpg, but I am beginning to wonder if for some reason it is a little off, I drive about 250 miles per week just back and forth to work and a tank lasts all week.

I would just say enjoy your car. In ten years I doubt there will be a lot of 300-500 HP cars in production. That's partly why I bought a GT.

Mine actually is pretty accurate. Not exact, but close.

I heard the computer doesn't always calculate correctly.

Before gears:  21 -23

After gears 19- 21

Interstate driving only :

Before gears 25 -26

After gears  Unknown as of yet.

Drive like a Granny much improve mileage with any gear.

27 mpg all highway, at 58 mph.

That's a slow highway.

I average 17.  I don't think I could get better than 22mph on the highway.

I have no doubt that I could push the 26-27 MPG bracket (highway) IF I was to stay below 70 MPH. Notice that that's a big "IF".  But when I'm driving 400-800 miles at a clip, those extra MPH's make a big difference in my arrival time (and is often a LOT more fun!).

Usually about 15 mpg in stop and go traffic.

If I get her out on the highway even for a little bit of my tank, it goes way up.  I've never run even close to a full highway tank but I've seen it in the 20's before.

Still better than my jeep though!

90% city here. A tank last me two weeks and I get 200 miles a tank. (gears, tune and other mods)

I average about 17.8 in the city, but just returned from a trip to San Antonio, and averaged about 25.6 for the trip.

Now I know once I get the SLP Loudmouth's installed .. it will most likely drop - simply because I wont be able to keep my foot "out of it". ;)

Yea, I'n calling BS on that too at those speeds. Maybe 25, but I know what it takes to get 30-32 and it is downhill, driving 55.
