I have a 1998 'stang and I want to replace my entire exhaust system...Would a GT aftermarket X-Pipe and dual exhaust (preferably Borla) fit on my car without having to do extensive work??? Also, which headers would be best for my 3.8l engine???
Money is not an issue here, so please give me your honest opinions. Thanks a alot.
what is up with you and pullution?....well the country doesn care ...stand on a busy street and breath the dirtiest air possible from a city bus no flame to you here
today's car are sooo much cleaner take one 57 chev v-8 will pollute more than 15-20 new cars...a fact....just think of the 1000's of "tons" of polluted stuff coming from factories, electric plants,etc...petetion them hell I'll help ya.
I thing that would help if everyone change there oil a 4000 or 5000 miles. oil prices would fall and less oil being recycled as the 3000 miles charge was put there for the oil companies. syth.. oil can easy go 5000 miles in any conditions plus you save money. changing oil every 5k with syth. oil and the gas saving it would lower your cost of driving just my 2 centsvfast37937.4214699074

I have flowmaster mufflers with 2.5 inch pipes and 3 inch chrome tips and it does pretty good. I left the cats on mine just because I want to avid the aggravation of being hassled by the e-check people and some exhaust shops will refuse to take them off. 98 mustangs came with headers but any aftermarkted headers would be a plus over stock.
in the next 5 years when all states have emmission testing it won't matter if you have cats as they will plug in to the ob11 and if you pass with out cats oh well.seen this in N.C.

E-CHECKS ARE STUPID AND A JOKE!!! We're trying to do away with them in Cincinnati. You see all these buses and trucks billowing out black smoke but it's the new cars they go after, and most of the trucks and buses are funded by the state or the city. Go figure. I say let people do what they want to their cars.
Unfortuantely PA emmissions isn't headed quite that way vfast. 1975-1995 cars get a visual inspection of ALL emission components (we have a list of stuff for every make and model) 1996-present are obd2 compliant and get plugged into a computer for the test. There is NO way obd2 or the computer reading the data stream could miss nonexistant cats. Pulling the battery cable right before the test to clear any bad data/codes won't work either. The computer catches it and forces the tech to run the car through a new drive cycle. On my '90 I have to put the cat h-pipe on once a year for the visual test and then put the off-road pipe back on that night. It sucks but that's how PA does it.
