Well yea you can turn your mustang into a shelby for the $$$. Just like you can do it w/ Saleen. But no you have it backwards. The Shelby mustangs are all mustang!

Are all cars mustangs? kidding : ) But seriously, are they? btw the Shelby "package" runs a hellofalot more than 3k, even for the "shelby gt NOT gt500" usually runs about 45-55k new, vs gt at 29-40k
shelby gt has 373 gears cold air intake and some suspension work also some different body work. they are so much more expensive because of the shelby name. they are also more expensive due to dealer mark up. u would be able to make ur gt a shelby for about 3 grand. however even if u do u still will not the custom number.
Considering that you can mod a GT and essentially obtain comparable performance (talking GT compared to Shelby GT NOT the 500) for $2000 I have to question the performance reason behind paying $41000 for a Shelby GT. I can see why a GT500 is worth the procurment, you can't safely mod to that level from a GT.
Included in my $2000 example:
Steeda CAI/Tune, Suspension tweak, exaust, gears
Sure the Shelby will look nicer but on the track both cars will be nearly identical. Obviously my estimates don't include installation, that you do yourelf for free.

Eh he's off to a better start than that one guy from youtube thinking that his was a Mustang GTR. He also claimed it was turboed when it wasan't. It looked like a v6 with a gtr badge. I can't believe that somebody even put that badge on there. It was the badges that the use for integras and accords. Oh well what can you say about some people.
