Isn't everything expensive in CT?   Looks like its still 'new'.  Local dealer here still wants $60K.

It IS new - 29 miles.  A lot of dealers list new cars on Craigslist.  Cheap way to get an Internet presence.

$56,800 is cheap - I've yet to see a local dealer sell one for under $65,000 and most I've seen are going for $70,000+.

It's really too bad there are so many rich a$$holes paying way over sticker to park one of these in storage for 10-20 years thinking their going to make a killing.  There are so many of these things being stashed away that those of us who'd actually drive it can't afford it.  The nice thing is it should be pretty easy to find a low mileage example in a few years at way below MSRP.

Talk about price gouging....you'd think that if a dealer was making $20k off one GT500, they could at least offer the rest of folks better deals on GT's or service or something.....*sigh* capitalism at it's finest huh? I have to pay out my a$$ just so the owner of the dealership can pad his wallet.

I know you were being sarcastic but that is capitolism at it's finest.  Demand is high, they charge the appropriate price.  When demand is low, Ford is handing out rebates, dealerships having trouble giving cars away and you can buy them at a loss for both Ford and sometimes even the dealer.

Recently, for the  American automakers, the latter has been happeing WAY more often than instancnes like the GT500 price markups.

If that's for real that's an amazing price on that car... unless a tree fell on it and it's not a clear title.

Oh I understand the whole supply and demand thing, I was a business major. But it always sucks when you're on the short end of the stick. haha. By the way, you mention trying to get rid of cars, I saw my dealership with an 07 Shelby GT that was discounted around $14k off the original sticker price. It's sitting at $34k I think. Talk about having to give a car away.

Ha 34K for a Shelby GT? I'd be tempted to get one if I could knock a few more thousand off. Sounds like a good deal.
