The dealer removed mine...but you can use a hot blow dryer. Heat the sticker up and it should peel right off. I have done this before on other cars and it works great. If there is any residue left you can use some alcohol and a microfiber cloth. It wipes right off.

You'll miss them gone on a white car, I'm telling u.. it makes the car look more sporty. But I think it looks fine without the stripes but with white rockers on it. You can always buy stripes again later on if you take them off then change your mind. I almost had the dealer take mine off when it got delivered, but my dad talked me into trying the car out for 2 weeks with them on it. So they're still there over a year later.
Take them off if you really can't live with them on your car, that is my more solid advice to you :)

It's all personal preference. I think our cars look too plain with out something, either louvers on the 1/4 window or on the back window, or stripes down the center, Side scoops or a different hood. It's your car, so do whatever makes you happy.
If mine ever get to the point where they start to crack and peel, I'll take them off, but for now, I'm enjoying them.
I agree, it is just my personal preference to have the appearance certain ways. I'm actually going to remove my black rockers and put white ones on and update the appearance all around to complement the new lines. I like my black rockers fine for the fact that I rarely have to clean them, but I've had the car over a year and I can easily change the appearance of the thing and virtually have a different car :)
Just by preference I like the blue with the white stripes, looks very plain without them. Actually there was one blue one at the dealer next to a white one when I was picking my colors and I do believe that the blue was a hard sell for me because they had no blue mustang on the lot with the factory stripes on the side. I see them on the freeway sometimes with the white stripes and I'm like man, I should've got blue. But that doesn't last very long, I still like white. The only colors I'd buy are either the red, blue, or white. However the metallic red looks nice as well, kind of has a candy appearance to me but not overdone like a show car.
I'm not sure about keeping stripes on a black mustang though. I think black on black on black is the best way to go with cars. Some people like to put the two white stripes down the middle, or sometimes they put two silver stripes in the middle. I think that color looks best solid.
Also if I was the OP in question and I had beige stripes, I'd not even buy the car until they were removed black looks great.
Oh and the only V6 I test drove had no stripes on the sides but of course had the black rockers. I was very very impressed by the performance of the car but the outside appearance I felt looked cheap for some reason. This is why I suggest putting those white rockers on if you remove the stripe, adds the class back to the car :)

I'd get the same rocker stripe in gold if I had a white Stang. Then add some matching gold racing stripes. I saw that setup on a Pony Pack the other night.... dayum! Classiest looking Stang I've ever seen.

I was going to say the same thing except in gold or silver. I like the rocker stripes with no "Mustang" cut outs on them. I think silver stripes on white look really sharp.
