First, I absolutely love my offroad Prochamber with Pypes Mid-Muffler setup. Loud as ever, deep, and I can't seem to find any drone at all. Love it.

We had some good weather over the weekend so I was able to put the top down with the new setup, and now I'm not quite as happy as before. With the top down, it sounds much more raw, much more "trumpeting", I guess you call it. I presume this is more indicative of the sound of the car from the OUTSIDE. The only time I've ever heard the car was from the INSIDE.

Anyway, to make a long story short... I'm curious how many of you vert owners are running off-road setups? Or have you tried them and gone back to hi-flo cats or full stock cats? Let me know your thoughts and experiences please.

I have an 06 gt vert. I'm running an o/r h and stingers currently. I was running just the o/r h for a while. I get the trumpets also. Car seems to be too quiet with axlebacks on

Nothing beats a prochamber o/r and SLPII. If you need to to tell you your car sounds badass when at WOT,then it does. I get more at a boys, nothing sounds like a prochamber. I will admit, it doens't sound like my flows a idle or crusing, but man when you lay into it it sounds mean. Wish I new how to do a sound clip to brighten your day.

I just got done upgrading the exhaust on my '85 GT vert.  Stock was single exhaust y'd out to two mufflers.  Sounded VERY weak IMO.  I changed out the single hump cross member for a double, went with a Mac o/r H pipe and Pypes violator cat-back and couldn't be happier.  Now the car sounds like a muscle car should   At idle and normal driving its got that nice rumble to it that we've come to expect out of a 5.0.  At WOT man it sounds like straight pipes   Loud exhaust doesn't bother me in the least, so with the top down I very much enjoy it.

i redid my whole exhaust last fall, i have summit shorties, off road H pipe (mac), and an SLP loudmouth catback.  its loud as hell and sounds awesome.  it also gave me more top end power (at the sacrifice of some torque though).  my friend who paints/rebuilds cars for a living told me its the loudest car he's ever heard
