WOW......
That's all I have to say... Man, I didn't think that it was going to be so aggressive.. I mean it sounds like a monster at light throttle.....not to mention full throttle. This thing just ROAAAARRRSSSS...
At a stop light, this black Z-28 dude hit his throttle, and I slammed mine... His eyes just .. yhea, like that, and he didn't even race anymore.. I was LMAO... I'm kinda glad that he didn't race me cause he probably would have won.. Yup, bluff ... The car is completely stock(for right now only)except for being dropped, clean, and ....ohh yhea, the Exhaust... That Bassani Off Road X is a winner... That's all I have to say... Can you say TORQUE for me.. I didn't lose anything.. I know that I gained bottom-end with the noticable top-end... I should have dynoed, but that place was closing and I really wanted to drive..
I love it.. Thanks for those clips Dan, and everybody else who helped me decide... Sorry for the long post....

will your car pass an emission check with bassani mid length headers, bassani o/r x pipe and magna flows or do they call it o/r x pipe because it will not pass?

The magnaflows are fine, but yes, the Off road X pipe will not pass. I have no cats...lol... I can either a: Install the stock H pipe when emission time comes or b: just pay a bit more for my inspection.... Believe me when I tell you that it's well worth it.. I've done much research on the Magnaflow straight through mufflers and have seen cars dynoed (and no joke) from 13-18 horses to the wheel..and yes, that's with the stock and restrictive Hpipe...I've seen dynos done on stock 99+Gt's with straight throuhg mufflers and off road X pipes doing 240-247 to rear.. That's power man!
Now that I have this set up, I could tell you, Yes Sir! My 01 Gt pulls hard from the start -- Of course, not to mention top-end speed. I was worried about all this "you'll lose bottom end torque" crap; it's al BS. Bull freakin' Crap! My Gt is now atleast, in the minimum 15 horses to the wheel faster.. At least! I'll try to dyno my car and show some stats. $75 for 3 pulls.. "ouch"

$75 for 3 pulls is not bad at ALL.
Hey, I'm glad you took the advice about Magnaflow and did some research, they make an amazing performance exhaust, and for the price..it's well worth it.
It's cool to hear about a satisfied GT owner that I may have helped.

So $75 is not a bad deal??? I 'll have to dyno it soon so I'll take it there...
Yes sir, Magnaflow got it right this time; their product is excellent! Bassani has great review with their Xpipes aswell.. I did so much research w/exhaust and just saw that bassani X mated w/ Magnaflows made the perfect match.. In my opinion, it's right!

How long did it take for your "check engine" lights to come on? Mine are not on! My buddy said that the stock sensors were put back into place by the guy doing the installation.
Is that why my check engine light didn't turn on??
So far, No Check Engine .. I hope they don't turn on anytime soon...

they'll come on soon.... once you drive around a while and they get heated up usually they'll come on a little while after that once they start sensing all that unburned fuel....

Crap! I have been running the car more often now, and I mean full throttle for long periods of time... Hopefully they wont come on *cross fingers*
DAN.. Do I have to disconnect my battery?? Could I still do it now or is it too late? I'll probably do the dyno this weekend depending on weather .

Sounds like $75 for three runs is a good deal....I'll do it..
Eventually my check engine light will come on???? Ahh man!.. Luckily, I'm installing the 4.10's with a chip to recalibrate the speedo. He said that we could fix the check engine light w/some timing adjusting...
the computer chip can be flashed to keep your check engine light off, but I also not sure how changing the timing will do it. Either way, the chip will take care of that issue

2 minutes.
Unfortunetly I don't see a timing adjustment fixing the engine light if it comes on...Those MIL Eliminators can be had for 60 bucks
[/QUOTE]
What I meant was that the chip(due to 4.10's)would fix my speedometer and my check enginel light.. I'll also get some timing adjusting done w/the chip...
Exactly what Intensity said! I just did'nt write it correctly...

Yeah, to keep the light off, but will that fix the rich retarded timing and rich condition that comes along with a check engine light?

Man, I have no idea.. Steve (the owner) at Houston Performance said that it would recalibrate my speedo, fix the engine light(if it comes on), and he also said that we could retard the the timing. I was thinking of getting the steeda timing adjuster, but he said it wasn't necessary if we were using a chip...
My question then would be: Would it be better to by a speedcal to fix speedo, mil-eliminator to fix engine light, and then just buy the timing adjuster seperately?
Dan, when you say, "rich retard timing," what do you mean?.........

Those will work fine. Those are really cheap too..
Told ya the light would come on...now your car is running very rich, the timing has been retarded and you're car will run like a dog, have horrible gas mileage and shouldn't be driven much. Get the eliminators and it'll solve all your problems.
