well. we had to get rid of the vette cause my stepdad switched jobs and lost his company truck and didnt want another car payment, but we still have the camaro, and we also have a gorgeous 96 harley, and then a few other toys here and there.

we havent had it on the strip. my stepdad is really picky about when and where he drives it. it is more of just a sunday cruiser and we take it to shows once in a while.  the guy we bought it from done pretty much all of the work. it has a keith black 383 stroker kit, AFR 195 heads, edelbrock lower, holley carb, full hooker exhaust. he had an eaton 4.10 rear in it, and we replaced that with the 3.73, we replaced all the bushing with polyurethane bushings, put in power steering, replaced all the glass, replaced most of the chrome outside, and put the wheels on it.  but my guess on the 1/4 would be somewhere around 12.2-12.4.

Ride Of The Month -> RE: 69 ss camaro (2/27/2008 5:07:50 PM)

you replaced the glass..was it lexan, or just rough looking glass?

ryan1994mustang -> RE: 69 ss camaro (3/1/2008 12:06:09 PM)

the glass that was in there was just all scratched up.  im assuming it was the original glass.  but we got a good deal on the whole set of glass so went ahead and replaced it all.

JOHNNYB -> RE: 69 ss camaro (3/13/2008 8:48:43 AM)

that is an amazing bike my friend, one of my friends has that model and color scheme and the idiot had a custom paint job put on over that, i told him he shoulda spent the extra 150-200 bucks for more tin and kept the factory paint on the original tin in his garage...the nicest "factory" harley i have ever seen was at the easyriders bike show in charlotte about 5-6 years ago, it was that model and color, 100% chromed out and had the green neon lights hidden under the tank, then they had it set up on mirrors with green tinted spots pointed at it, the green lighting made all the chrome look green tinted, i got pictures of it but they dont do it justice, i even think that the fatboy emblem looks good on those bikes like that man

ryan1994mustang -> RE: 69 ss camaro (3/13/2008 2:05:43 PM)

yeah...i guess you could call ours factory.  im pretty sure about everything that can be replaced with chrome parts, has been replaced with chrome parts.  i think thats about all that has been done to it.  i dont know too much about it. i spend too much time playing with the cars.  we are actually in eastern nc and go to a few shows with it, but that wasnt ours in charlotte because we dont have the green neons on it.  we also have the saddle bags, windshield, and bitch seat to go on the back too, but they dont get put on unless they are headed to myrtle beach or a long trip.  most of the time we trailer it on long trips.  i just know that bike has been completely babied since it was new.  my stepdad is a big enough man that you dont even want to breathe on it wrong if you are in the shop looking at it. haha.

fastjohnny -> RE: 69 ss camaro (3/15/2008 8:18:47 PM)

beautiful camaro, love the hood, what do you have for a transmission, and what gears are you running?

ryan1994mustang -> RE: 69 ss camaro (3/15/2008 8:50:12 PM)

its a 4 speed(cant remember what kind), but it has an eaton stage III diff with 3.73's in it. when we got it, there was an eaton stage IV with 4.10's but they were worthless if we wanted to drive down the highway.

ryan1994mustang -> RE: 69 ss camaro (3/21/2008 8:11:28 AM)

ok. i just went out and snapped a few pics of the bike.  not the best pics in the world, but our shop is very crowded right now.
