You know just for fun, I asked my dealer what they would give me on a trade in and they quoted me at $17,900.....it WAS very tempting to trade it in for a GT, but reality kicked in, I owe NOTHING on my car now, why would I want to pay more $$ for another car with 2 more cylinders? Not to mention it would cost me more in gas as well.
The only thing I like about the GT is the sound.....other than that, I'm happy with my V6.
17,900 hmm at what mileage? I'm figuring my dealer would quote me below 16,000 @ 18,000 miles which I haven't reached just yet. I could probably get my salesman to check it out, he's a cool guy. I still owe money on mine but it's not like I don't have over triple what I owe in the bank so it's not really like owing anything at 0% :)
I think besides APR the real kicker for me was the insurance rate. I was getting quoted $2200+ per year from the agency I was using before. And now the one I currently use only wants $749 for 6 months. Of course there's probably others on this forum that get less than that for a GT but I just didn't check all avenues.
Ohh and auto gt troll... yyyyeah... if I had a car with a V8 in it I'd really just _love_ to be stuck in traffic fidgeting with a stick. been there, done that... the end :) hence why an automatic transmission does not cost less than a manual.

At the time, (Dec. '07) my car had 2800 miles on it. Right now it has 3000.
Hmm I just wonder if there was 0% and lower insurance if I would've got the GT.. or if the fuel economy would've still steered me away. it's a tough call.
also I only test drove the V6 and the thing had so much power I was amazed, didn't figure I needed a GT

That, and the fact that they can handle more horsepower.

Mamba, if I had your's or Pascal's car I would never trade for a GT. Probably the two best on this forum.
What's pascal car running(f/i, appearance mods, etc.)?
PS-Don't bag on auto's, the 2 fastest 4.0's to date were auto's unless Fazm took over one of those spots recently. Not to mention, there is no way in hell you can shift faster than a shift pressure increased to the max, tuned, automatic EVER!
My friend here in Houston, you know him on the forums as PLstang just swapped his 4.6 for a gt500 5.4, when he is all said and done he is shooting for 700-800 hp and is going from a manual to a racing automatic just because he wont be able to shift fast enoug. So you can bag on all auto's :)
If you think about it. Manual is more for sport. It takes human reaction time and skill to do it excellent. You don't see nascar or Indy doing automatic. I mean if you want a really fast car and don't want to shift there is no shame in that. Mine is auto and I am not a racer I just like the hobby and going fast, O and all the attention. But if I was in the sport of racing that would be a different story.
Manual = for sport Auto = just because you can!!!!

Those Nascar and Indy boys and girls usually stay in the same gear once they leave the pits. I bet they'd hope for an auto on a road course.

I was at a local dealer that was selling a used 2007 White GT/CS for $23K. Only 17K miles with all the upgrades of course. But the dealer would've offered me $18K on a trade. So $5K out wouldn't have been a big deal for the deal on that car! BUT...I like my mods too. I don't have insane mods like Black Mamba. But I like my new black American Racing 18" Rogue's, my new wider tires, my stereo system (threw out the Shaker 500 lol), my C&L CAI and tuner. Plus my V6 has all the upgrades available at the time. For me, in the end, it wasn't worth it. The power upgrade just wasn't enough for me to trade. I would never trade my car the way it is now evenly for a stock GT either. For GT500, yes of course! Or a Supercharged Saleen! I'm not hating on GTs of course.. it's just that I don't think this car (V6) is a bad car, not bad enough IMO to trade for a plain stock GT. My only profit would be 90 more HP and I'd lose all my mods
I would trade my V6 COUPE for a GT 500 COUPE ... or possibly a GT CONVERTIBLE .... and they would have to be Grabber Orange. I would never trade by car for just a GT ..
I think I like the mpg I get now, the way I drive I'd probably be getting variable 14-15mpg out of a V8.. I think I'd be sad after trading for that to be displayed on my instrument cluster.
Also about auto, I figured that I wanted a technologically superior in every way to my old bug, and it was a manual. Every bug is, short of the autostick. I still have the bug if I want to sport around a manual transmission. Hopefully it won't be rainy this weekend I need to move it around a bit anyway. It is equally as fun to drive for me as a mustang with an automatic and 200+ horse.
