Well, as some of you know, my mustang was wrecked and I am in the process of selling it. Somebody is going to not like my choice of car, but I don't buy into the whole ford Vs. Chevy thing. So here is my 1985 500+ hp Corvette:

Flash, are those the only mods you've done to that LS1 to get a 12.2!? If so, very nice times there. The vette will pull a low to mid 10, but with a 150 shot and a good tune I'm sure I can get into the 9s, of course everything on this car has been built to the max. When did you get the Camaro?

Very nice.

One day when I become a millionair lol, I'm gonna go out and buy the newest/best Corvette engine on the market, then drop it into my stang just to tick off both Chevy and Ford people lol. It has been done and it's freaking hallarious when people do it.

Countdown to millionairhood - approx 4 years.

Heres what's been done to it:

forged 383 bottom end, Aluminum fast burn heads with extra port work, best aftermarket intake (tpis miniram), ceramic coated long tubes, all accel fuel system (pump, computer, 36lb injectors), holley twin 58mm throttle body, tpis solid roller cam (244/251) (.607/.610), fully built 700r4 transmission with 3000 stall convertor, dana 44 rear end with 4.11 gears, and small stuff like roller rockers, bigger valve springs, etc.

It pulls right over 7k with no problems. Hoping to later do a new shortblock to handle boost and a rear mounted twin turbo . Then I doubt that I'll drive it on the street.

supension wise is bilisteen heavy duty shocks and struts. It came equiped with the Z51 handling package, so it really doesnt need much at all. All of the suspension looks brand new, probably replaced within the last year or two. Corvettes really dont need a whole lot done suspension wise, especially with it already having the handling package. And yes, it makes a tad over 500 horses at the flywheel. When you spend $13k on the engine alone, and it comes stock with 240 horses and 330 ft/lb of torque, it better make over 500 horses. You could get 500 horses out of a one of our sixers with 13K to spend.

13k on an engine, I would surely hope you had a dyno to show for it.

I don't have a dyno sheet for it, the original owner had all the work done, had all the receipts, and showed me his quarter mile slips and dynos, but he said he'd like to keep them, so I said thats fine. While owning my v6 mustang, I also owned a trans am with the same engine but a more mild build (tuned port injected 350), so I know what all of these parts are and how they perform. I'm not trying to mean, but I'm assuming you don't have an immense amount of knowledge on these types of engines, or chevys in general. If you did, the parts involved in the engine setup would speak for themselves. I don't want to start a bunch of stuff, If you don't believe it has the horsepower that I say it has, then thats fine, because I know what it has.

Hopefully within the next few months, I will be able to afford a dyno run, a couple of passes at the tracks, etc. But paying for the car right now is my top priority.

I knew people on here wouldn't believe this. This engine has every top of the line upgrade you can have done to it. How can 500 horsepower not be obtainable this way, because none of you guys, or very few, like chevy. It is not running on boost or nitrous, and both of those would destroy this engine in a heartbeat due to the high compression ratio. If I had came on here with a fox body mustang, told you it had a 347 forged bottom end, whatever good heads are for those engines, ported gt 40 upper and lower intake, bigger throttle body, accel, holley, whatever for the fuel system, huge cam, roller rockers, hardened push rods, msd ignition, heavy duty cooling, hooker ceramic coated long tubes, 3 inch dual exhuast, etc., etc. You would believe it because its a ford.

To you strictly ford guys, it probably just looks like a chevy engine. Just because you don't recognize or know what this engine is composed of, doesn't mean I'm a liar.

I'm paying $8.5k for it, the paint is quite messed up in the back, the carpet isn't good, the top has problems, there is a leak of freon, it is missing the front ground effects, the seats are worn, and the current owner is not aware of what exactly has been done to the vehicle. I tried to buy it a year ago from the original owner and missed out, but that is when I became aware of what this vehicle can do. Somehow, it ended up a dealership where the current owner bought it.

When I get the car and have some cash, I'll do a few dyno runs and quarter runs to back up what I've told you. I hate when people accuse me of lying or even stretching the truth.

If you don't have something nice, helpful, or constuctive to say, please keep the comments to yourself, I don't want to stir up this whole ford v chevy thing again.

you obviously havent watched my sig....

its just that with no parts reciepts, no dyno numbers, no timeslips, it seems like a too good to be true deal. not arguing with ya, but look at it from our end

I love LS1 motors...
Dad has a 383 stroker f1 t/a (part mine but blah its his)
friend has a 12.8 z28 with exhaust & lid
another friend has a 408 stroker LS1 with a 200 shot
and another friend has an IROC with a 350 and a nice cam thats more for show than performance.

I have nothing against any "car" just because its "brand" If you ever notice when people wan't new cars I recomend LSx's over mustangs all day. That being said I don't see 500hp.
