I understand how it comes across from yalls end completely, but just because you don't believe it, don't mean you gotta come at me like I'm lying to y'all. But the comment "I doube that's anywhere around a 12 second car", just make me mad. I'll go through the list again for you one more time, in the best detail that I can. If you don't believe me, go to tpis.com and learn a little about what this engine is capable of.

Here is the engine that the build was base off of:
http://www.enginefactory.com/383_Mini_Ram.htm

^ add the better heads at the bottom, a solid roller cam that is more radical, special corvette headers listed at bottom, bigger injectors, and a forged internal assembly and a higher compression ratio.

The tranny is a fully built 700r4 with manual valve body, built to break your neck and handle the power. The rear is a dana 44 (very strong) with 4.11 gears. The car weighs in at 3088 lbs without driver, so about 3260 with me in it. It comes with the famous z51 handling package and has upgraded shocks and struts. Car is very impressive on the straight line, but even more so in cornering.

Like I said, I will get exact numbers on this when I have the cash available, but until then, CAN YOU PLEASE STOP WITH THE UGLY, MEAN POSTS THAT ACCUSE ME OF LYING!!!!????

I knew people on here wouldn't believe this. This engine has every top of the line upgrade you can have done to it. How can 500 horsepower not be obtainable this way, because none of you guys, or very few, like chevy. It is not running on boost or nitrous, and both of those would destroy this engine in a heartbeat due to the high compression ratio. If I had came on here with a fox body mustang, told you it had a 347 forged bottom end, whatever good heads are for those engines, ported gt 40 upper and lower intake, bigger throttle body, accel, holley, whatever for the fuel system, huge cam, roller rockers, hardened push rods, msd ignition, heavy duty cooling, hooker ceramic coated long tubes, 3 inch dual exhuast, etc., etc. You would believe it because its a ford.

To you strictly ford guys, it probably just looks like a chevy engine. Just because you don't recognize or know what this engine is composed of, doesn't mean I'm a liar.

I'm paying $8.5k for it, the paint is quite messed up in the back, the carpet isn't good, the top has problems, there is a leak of freon, it is missing the front ground effects, the seats are worn, and the current owner is not aware of what exactly has been done to the vehicle. I tried to buy it a year ago from the original owner and missed out, but that is when I became aware of what this vehicle can do. Somehow, it ended up a dealership where the current owner bought it.

When I get the car and have some cash, I'll do a few dyno runs and quarter runs to back up what I've told you. I hate when people accuse me of lying or even stretching the truth.

If you don't have something nice, helpful, or constuctive to say, please keep the comments to yourself, I don't want to stir up this whole ford v chevy thing again.

I love LS1 motors...
Dad has a 383 stroker f1 t/a (part mine but blah its his)
friend has a 12.8 z28 with exhaust & lid
another friend has a 408 stroker LS1 with a 200 shot
and another friend has an IROC with a 350 and a nice cam thats more for show than performance.

I have nothing against any "car" just because its "brand" If you ever notice when people wan't new cars I recomend LSx's over mustangs all day. That being said I don't see 500hp.

An IROC for a show car? Aren't show cars supposed to look nice? lol

xemeth, funny stuff on the IROC show car there. I never really liked their looks either, but they do have a big a big fan base.

vcs, LS1s are bad *** engines. Actually, all LSx engines are awesome. Never liked their sound, but they are not only quite fast stock, but they respond very well to simple mods. What all do you and your dad have done to the Trans Am? I really wish I could have found a good deal on a ws6 trans am, that would be the only car that could have pulled me away from the vette.

That's an IROC. IROCs were the third gen. The pic you posted was of a second gen.

The IROC-Z camaro was not introduced until the 1985 model year. This was in celebration of the'rebirth' of the IROC race series, reborn in 1984.

Yeah, I think the car has IRS, but not sure???? It's suspension setup is completly different than my trans ams or my mustangs, so I guess thats the deal on that. But I do know it has the dana 44 rear differential, not the weaker dana 36. It handles like a dream though compared to my mustang.

I don't think thats the IROC everyone was looking for. That camaro is a pre 82, IROCs, to my knowledge, were 3rd gen camaros (82-92), but maybe they made em back then too.

Ah, dana is simply a company that mass produces rear ends. They can be found in 84-96 corvettes, mopars, broncos, and I'm sure elsewhere. I will prove it if you want me too:

Ah, can't beat a moser 12 bolt, simply unbreakable! I don't want to drive the vette hard and destroy the rear or anything for that matter, look at the prices for the parts! Thats a vette for you though.

That body style that you posted before is NOT an IROC. I'm almost positive. Google "IROC" and see what you get.
