I owned a 2000 Mustang GT vert. While it was N/A it had a mid pipe, Magnaflow catback, Predator tune, short throw shifter, UDP's and 3.90 gears. It was far from fast. An LS1 GTO would have torn me a new one.
Yes I agree, but not to a driver that can only pull off a 13.2 with a modded 6.0. obviously the guys can't drive! I've always said the 6.0 GTO's are sick fast, and in my opinion the dealer installed SLP 6.0 GTO I drove, was faster than the coupe & ragtop C6's I drove. I don't think I can top all GTO's, or even 3/4 of them. I think I would have a good chance against someone that pulls off a 13.2 modded, when that car should be faster than that stock.
Where did I ever say I would beat all GTO's? I said I'd love him to come down and race so I can beat a GTO, meaning his!

so a cam and LT header LS1 GTO making 375RWHP did 13.8 the first run and ran a best of 13.6 the entire night?
are you trying to prove my right? lol
I don't even know anymore, I always thought from the power and weight of those LS1 GTOs that they would be more in the 13s than a stock New Edge GT.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you're fast.
Some stock New Edges are in the high 13's, but that requires a real good driver.
What I don't get is this and correct me if I'm wrong. A borla exaust, BBK H pipe with high flow cats, BBK CAI, and Diablosport chip all probably net me what like an additional 30hp?
Now add my aluminum flywheel that is supposed to reduce drivetrain loss. So that means my car stock with an aluminum flywheel would put more to the wheels than a stock car with a stock flywheel. So with that said obviously my car modded will net better results than a similar GT modded without the flywheel.
After that add the fact I have BBK springs which gives a lower center of gravity, Full length subframe connectors to help with body roll, and a 3 point strut tower bar to also help with structural integrity, and my car should hook better than a stock GT.
After all of that your trying to tell me that my car that runs an average of 14.0 (averaging 13.7-14.3) in the 1/4 mile is not capable of mid to lower 13's?
Maybe working at Steeda taught me nothing, but I think your view on my car is quite skewed.

Do you mean to tell me/us/all that are reading that another 30 hp and some springs will drop almost a full second off your ET?
How much do you think each of those mods individually add? How much do you think you put down to the wheels as of now?
What our cars run on average bone stock (yes, don't forget I have a New Edge Vert too) is closer to a mid 14...bottom line, none of this will register to you until you go to the track. When do you plan on going?

Damn you guys are easy to get fired up! And your right I'm not a drag racer and my car is quicker than I can drive it. Thats not the point. If I knew my car was quicker than yours, whats the point in racing? I just want to get out and do some runs. Those times were set before headers w/ street radials @ 35psi. And the track temps where in the 40s = no traction. I have yet to make a clean pass-spin-hit the rev limiter-whatever. Like I said I suck. See ya at the track.

I stand corrected. It's more power than I thought. Diablosport chip - 4.6 Liter (2V) Gas Engine: 24 horsepower and 38 ft-lb torque http://www.waynesdyno.net/diablopage2.html BBK CAI - This beautiful air induction system is the latest hot new product from BBK so you add approx 12 to 14 Rear Wheel Horsepower Gain. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv8maccai.htm
Borla Exhaust - Can't find anything concrete. Only answers on forums. I'm guessing 8-10hp?

ORIGINAL: Morbid Intentions are you serious right now?
it's what the links say. The only one I claimed was the borla exhaust which I even said I'm guessing. If you have issues with the numbers take it up with the sites that posted those numbers not me. I'm just relaying links to what the gains are supposed to give you. I don't find them that far off from what I've seen on the dyno in the past.
I think it makes sense to the flywheel, which would put around 30 to the wheels with the mods. Maybe a little bit more with less drivetrain loss to the wheels.
I picked up over a half second in my 2.0 4cyl Focus with adding: Steeda intake, superchips chip, udp, cam gears, orp straight pipe, short throw shifter, poly tranny mount, and strut tower bar. I later added 4.06 gears (stock was 3.90) and a centerforce clutch then had the car dynotuned. After all that was said and done I picked up a little over a full second!
That was without exhaust, headers, heads, cams or any other major bolt ons. So are you guys telling me that my 8cyl mustang can't pick up half a second on the mods I posted, but my 2.0 4cyl focus can? Because I've got a barrage of slips to show my focus definitely did. And when I worked at Steeda I watched how much hp they gained on the dyno. My steeda short ram gave me 7FWHP. I guess the dyno lied.
At the end my car gained nearly 26FWHP with the mods listed and 25FWTQ. I've got dyno sheets for that. So again I'm not just spouting off ridiculous claims. Based on my knowledge from working at Steeda and watching the various dyno runs before and after mods, plus track runs before and after lead me to my conclusions on my car. It also coincides with the races I've had so far.
To the one thread wonder that told me to put up or shut up, I already said if you come down to Florida, I will run you! I'm not going to drive up to Maryland of all places to race you. I hate that state! I lived there 1 year, and vowed I won't go back unless absolutely necessary. The traffic is unbelievable, and it's ridden with thugs!

Apparently working has not taught you much if you actually beleive those claims. You just lost a ton of credibilty in my book. Once you have some timeslips I'll give you back some cred. The fact remains that a 2V 4.6 will not respnd to mods like that, the heads just don't flow well enough.
Now some trash talk. I noticed you all seem to need power adders to make your cars quick.? And how come the V6 guys are the first to speak up? Isn't RETRO just another word for lack of imagination?
Actually Some of 'em are nice.

can we get back on topic here ?? i vote Mason Dixon. thats the one in Hagerstown right ? that or MIR would be ok. i live in NW VA. im 50min South of Winchester. i definitely want to see a GTO vs 'Stang matchup. and ive got a lot of friends who would race. including me if the new car im getting is done by then. at least with some mods on it.

LOL
OneFastEclipse, I think I found the guy you should have referenced to as far as being easy to sell to.
Ripped muscular camel, those gains were documented with your Focus, what about your Mustang? Don't think that just because you have more than twice the size of the motor that your gains should be the same or more.
I hope with all your work experience you realize that a gain of 26fwhp on a 130 hp motor does much more than 30 rwhp on a 260 motor. If you cannot see it, just think of the percentages of the two hp gains...keep in mind the 30 rwhp gain for your GT is with your estimation, which is quite a bit excessive than reality.
Looking at your last 100 posts, you haven't really been to the 4.6 Tech section. I'd recommend going there and just doing a couple searches, hopefully it will wake you up.

I hate jumping into threads midway through, but it seems like Damage Inc. will have like 2 competitors.
The rest of the Mustang guys will be busy putting down the obsurd claims of Ripped Camel..
come on man, I don't know you at all, and apparently you spend little to no time in 4.6 tech.
Your car, a New Edge Vert with a chip, intake, partial exhaust, and flywheel is not going to make more than 250 hp MAX. At the strip, I'd give you a 13.9.
People who don't have timeslips run their mouth because they have no idea how difficult it is to really launch a car. I used to think I could run 13.6's easy. I've been 4 times and only running 13.8's, that down from a 14.5 first time out.
To Damage Inc. I know what it's like to run times worse than stock with mods. It's not like it's a rare thing. Everyone has to practice before they get good. End of story.
I'd expect a LS2 GTO to rape 80% of the new edge stangs on the road though. Think about it guys, low low 13's stock, and it takes a new edge full bolts on/suspension to run those times, or F/I...and most guys don't go F/I
