i do believe the mach 1's come with 3:55 gears, different cams, i think different head work(not sure tho) and are a little faster than the 99-01 cobras. they also have the solide rear end too. the termis also come with a 6 speed tranny and a better irs if i am not mistaken.

ok here's the info you need.
99-01 cobra 320hp 317tq
03-04 mach 1 305hp 320tq (underrated actual ~320)

these cars are so close tot he same that it isnt funny. its a drivers race. the cobras have a 9.5:1 and the mach 1's have a 10.1:1 compression ratio. the machs have the intake cams off a cobra and the exhaust cams from a navigator this is where the better torque comes from. also the Irs on the cobra makes for a smoother ride, but not a great on the strip. the cobras came with 3.27's the mach came with 3.55's and both are five speeds.

i think thats everything.

best bang for buck cobra/mach goes to the termie, but the mach 1 is the same motor w/out the SC and the iron block. you can get a high mileage 03-04 for around 18-20k, a low mileage mach is about 18-20k.

03/04 Cobra's also got the 3:55's. The IRS for the 03/04's was upgraded a bit but still is very if the bushing's aren't swapped and a brace put on. And the head work on the Mach's are different from the 99/01 Cobra's.

hmm... so really the only differance is the block and the s/c, well the 6 speed tranny, but over all i love the outside look of a termi, and the inside look of a mach... so maybe ill get the mach and put the cobra kit on it and find somthin to do with the hood of the mach... after i get the mach paid off i could get the s/c... hmmm decisions haha, the iron block of the cobra would make it hevier than the mach correct?... all this info and anything more is awesome because i plan on buying which ever one i choose and it will be mine for the rest of my life...

super charging the mach with higher compression will most likely cause pinging with 91 octane? That is why the 03/04 cobra is a lower compression for the huffer

get the 03/04 cobra put exhaust, headers ,intake , pully and drive it they are awesome cars, it really should be what ever you find in the best shape at a good price
I do like the inside of the mach the seats look like my 70 428scj
Both are sweet the irs is better in the turns

also, how durable are the mach motors and trannys? especially with power adders? how much can you get out of a n/a motor?

no, weill if you run it way lean it will, but you can safely put 450rwhp and anything above that without a dead on tune is borrowed time. if you look at A/F ration on the SC cars most are 11.2-11.7 just so that they dont have that problem.
