Hi Everyone,

Rear tires are almost bald, and now that I have the wheel hop problem solved (Hotparts.com's J&M upper and lower control arms and yellow Koni adj shocks) I need some new tire suggestions.  Anyone have any thoughts/experienc with the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW's on a GT-500?

Thanks,

MSB Mustang / Mark

The KD is a max performance summer tire, the KDW is better in the wet, and the KDWsII (barbwire looking tread) is a good all arounder.  Depending on your type of driving, you may want to go to drag radials, NT555R or BFG DRs.

Pilot sports, goodyear F1 GS D3 are good too.

what size are you looking for?

Hi UrS4,

Thanks for the response.  I was going to stay with the stock size 255/45-18 fronts and 285/40-18 rears unless someone has some suggestions that would be a better choice for size.  I drive 100 miles every day so ride comfort is important but I have several hard corners that are enjoyable to push a bit on the commute so performance is important also.  I am leaning towards the g-Force T/A KDW2's (the all around barbed pattern I think would be best for my commute)

BFGoodrich just responded to me in an email as follows:
Your original tires were P255/45ZR18 and P285/40ZR18 sizes. These are pmetric sizes and the G Force T/A KDW comes in the metric sizes - 255/45ZR18 and 285/40ZR18. The tire sizing is
the same but the metric sizes have a slightly higher load index. I am not sure what load index is but they told me the tires in these pmetric sizes will fit the GT500.

Thanks again for your help,

MSB Mustang / Mark
