Well a buddy of mine just got a new 300c. Other than the magnaflow exhaust he put on it, it's completely stock. Well he kept running his mouth about how he could smoke me so we decided to race. Well i had no freakin idea how fast those damn cars are. I figured it was quick but with how much it weighs and the 22 inch rims it has, he'd never beat me. Guess again. I have a 00 GT convertible with bbk pullies, a shift kit, o/r x-pipe, slp loudmouth, and k&n intake. I know it aint much but it's something i guess. Well anyways we take off from a dead stop and he kills me cuz i do nothing but spin for about 10 feet. My tires suck! So then we decided to race from about a 30 mile roll on. He still beats me by about a car length. After that we just kept jacking around racing all over town. Everytime he kept pulling away from me. My question is what can i do to beat this fool! I mean he doesn't spank me bad but the point is i'm getting beat. Think if i got rid of the piggy back bbk's and got some steeda pullies it would make a whole lot of difference? what's another mod that maybe help me beat this 300c?

well first off. Is it a regular 5.7l hemi 300c or is the 6.1l srt 8 300c. Then from there i can help you. In terms of the pulleys i dont know if that will make a difference but if you want some Steeda Pulleys that are in perfect condition I can sell you some for 120 shipped. Save ya 80 bucks if your interested

i thought the only car with the 6.1 was the srt-8 jeep?
either way hemi's are fast. my mom has a grand cherokee with a hemi, and since it's winter and i havent driven my stang in a long time............ the thing feel's so damn fast

LCA's will further help you plant on the launch. You def. need some gears with the auto trans, my old GT was a 5spd and my new one is an auto...and I DEFINATELY can tell I need gears even more than I did before.

yeap, along with some DR's. A 3400+ stall converter will do wonders as well once all other mods are done. If u r spinning for a few seconds, thats your main problem right now. If you can hook up out of the hole, you should at least be even with him. Forget roll racing unless u r making SERIOUS rwhp/tq.

yea tires make a world of a diffrence. I've nitto drag radials on the back of my car. At first i thought there was something wrong cause my car wouldnt spin lol but the tires were actually hooking up.

I think if you had better tires you should be able to beat him from a dig, unless somehow you just can't drive. My buddies stock 300C with 22's is a real dog off the line till it gets rolling. +roll racing isn't good when it comes to those because once they have all their weight rolling the 340hp/390tq really takes ahold

no i hate doing that. for some reason when i drop my car into first the tranny sounds AWFUL! almost like there's something wrong. It catches hard and makes a loud noise. something aint right there.
