They have what they call a virual limited slip. so this is how it works. one wheel starts to spin faster than the other it applies brake to that wheel and creates the "limited slip" works better than you would think...i can cut 1.9 60ft times all day with the stock 225 60 18 stock tire. and just playing i can leave 2 black marks for a good distance. but turn the wheel and 1 tire fire. i hate it but i will get a locker one day..lol
it is the same way most of the mercedes is set up its there rear end and trannys in our cars.

BTW depending on how you look at it people are going to think it's overrated.... an engine making similar power is planted under the hood of my car and the results are night and day. The hemi wouldn't get dumped on except for two things..
1) They put it in the heaviest vehicles they could possibly find....
2) It's hyped up to an annoying level even though it's not doing anything that GM/Ford hadn't already done (really making 350hp with a 5.7L is amazing? That's the magic of 'Hemi' right?)
For what it's worth Chevy passed the 400hp mark with 5.7L before the Hemi even came out. Then all of sudden the farm boy redneck hicks venture into the city and start spouting 'hemi' this and 'hemi that' like it was the best thing every created. So people started listening... then they put their 'hemi' cars on the track and came back with *gasp* 14 second timeslips...even the mustang guys chuckled with thier 2V 4.6L cars... all the hype for that?
Seriously the 'Hemi' group did this to themselves... like it or not that image (overrated/overhyped) isn't going away anytime soon. Even though the SRT guys get a respect it doesn't trickle down hill, the 5.7L guys are stuck with the mess they created.

There's always assholes driving cars, no matter what type of car. I think the main point the non charger owners were trying to say is: cars and MSRP's and rated 1/4 times: New Edge GT-$24k+ 13.9 S197 GT-$25k 13.5 LS2 GTO-$31.3k 13.3 Charger R/T-$31.5k 14.2
It's just the performance per dollar value isn't that great when people boast the hemi so much. It's makes great power, but it's giant frame and other weird engineering things(no real lsd) make it slower than it could be. Putting $5k-$6k into an S197 GT makes it either a low 12's car or supercharger would put it into the 11's while still spending the same you would of for a charger, but a good distance in 1/4 times. But than again, no one can transport 5 people in a mustang gt or put a ton of **** in their trunk . I think that was sort of the argument.

Expected answer, now, please explain to me what I have done here to get that kind of response. It's well known rednecks prefer Camaros/Mustangs over Chargers/300C's. Take a look around if you don't believe me. Thats the only point im arguing. I know the HEMI engines aren't the greatest design ever, the LS1-2 are just awesome. I'm just here to say that the redneck to charger opinion he has is far from the truth, especially when compared to other modern day muscle cars.
think you are reading too much into what anyone says... the HEMI nameplate is glorified by rednecks and as a result ALOT of people say "WOW a HEMI!!" and know nothing about it after the fact... if anything the LX lineup reminds me of a bunch of cars designed to appeal to ghettofied wannbe gangsters from the slums

Not only do you hate on my car, you hate on my computer as well. I don't care, I don't care if it's the fastest thing on the road it's a pretty quality car and has plenty enough speed to get me around.
As for the computer, It's about quality. It's all quality parts, has lasted me a few years, and has the little extras that building up your "E-Machine" won't get you.
