FINALLY someone with a new edge races a 300c HEMI 5.7 and proves my point. That a 5.7 hemi can at the least keep up or win. WHo ever said "auto is what got you" no the 5.7l HEMI is what got'em. We got one with 22's and that thing is pretty quick. Stock Vs Stock An auto will lose for sure but a manual might be able to keep up but im guessing it will pull away. Okay the 5.7 might be a HEMI but its not great at all.. Before mods my 4.6 beat the 5.7 no problem.. and now I even beat the 6.1's... While being nice cars the chargers with the 5.7's seem like slugs.. Dunno how diff the 300c might be, probably not much.. But considering it was a new edge gt I dont think it was even that fair of a race.. I understand the 300c is a sedan but come on I mean how many years newer is this 300c?

Not too bad of a death. I finally rode in a Hemi 300c for the first time last night. My friend's mom just got it last week. It definately surprised me with how quick it was. We want to line it up with my car to see what will happen. I know I'll probably win, but I don't think it'll be by that much.
you guys fail to realize that is not the 5.7 liters engine that kills those cars (chargersm 300c, magnum). They all weight 4000lb + Put that engine in car around the same weight as a stang making what around 350hp and 390lb of torque and it would be a different story. But hey they did not

Alls Im saying is that the HEMI's are overated..jmho... But since the Chargers are considered sedans now and not sports cars I am waiting to see how there challenger measures up.. now dodge fans will have no excuse like "its not supposed to be fast its a sedan, that 6.1 is just for looks".. lol. Yes the mustang is a sports car but in the same aspect look at our piggy of a sports car compared to a lotus.. But hey I wouldn't trade my stang for anything.. I love my car.. even if those sedans we speek of constantly try to race me.. what are they trying to prove? they drive a sedan right lol?

5.7L-powered 300Cs, Chargers and Magnums seem to run about 13.9-14.1, pretty comparable to a 99-04 Mustang GT. That engine is comparable to GM's LS1, but DC puts them in much heavier vehicles. Well, I guess they're not too much heavier than the '04 GTO. But they are land barges compared to the similarly-powered F-bodies and especially the Corvette.

lol. My friend. His parents are in Florida for a couple weeks so we decided to take the 300c out and see what it could do.
they are really eavy, so heavy it CAN NOT do a donut. IN my youtube vids you can see me trying to do a donut but it wont do it even in the rain. www.youtube.com/hrair1010 if u need the link.

Guy @ work has pretty similar mods as you do (though he only has an axle back, aluminum DS, and Bamatune 93 race tune, UDP, blah blah, and 3.55 gears) on his 07, and I have no issues beating him (though this is on the street from 0-110, and 40-120 rolls) course his 89 can spank me like no tomorrow...
So the 'Hemi' motors aren't over rated, I think they did right by these engines. Though I wish I didn't have to change 16 spark plugs... sheesh.

yea tires make a world of a diffrence. I've nitto drag radials on the back of my car. At first i thought there was something wrong cause my car wouldnt spin lol but the tires were actually hooking up.
I have Falken's on my car (came with them) and never owned this brand before. I always read about people breaking loose the rear and peeling out on launches; I hardly ever break the rear end loose, and I have to do a break stand to get some smoke (only done it once; wasting tires ftl)
One of my first races was with a charger, and I took him, but it was only by a fender. Once out of the dig, he gained nothing on me, but gave nothing either so Im thinking driver mod made the difference (as much as it could make, I have an auto).
