why else would he pull to that speed?  he didn't go by me until i slowed back to around 85  SVO's really aren't that fast.  like i said... i can take a 5.0 mustang.

non flush, the headlights were set back into the body a little bit.  dude i could hear the turbo spooling its 50 degrees today, i had the windows open on my car.

84's and 85's have the recessed headlights, and are rated at 175 hp.  That being said, you don't know what you are talking about.  I would feel completely free to race you any day, and any time, and the only reason that you could "take" a 5.0 is if it was wore out POS that needs a driver mod.  Get the car on the track and show us some numbers, maybe then people will believe how "fast" your Cougar is.

Congrats!  You beat a car that was ~12 years older and had 1.5 liters less displacement!

My father has a 3.8L MN12, along with 2 other friends. My TC stock was no compairison. 40 more horsepower and about 300 less pounds.

The tranny is actually the same other than the electronic controls, and you have 3.08's or 3.27's in the rear. Those don't make up for the extra 500 pounds you have on an SVO.

i read that the actual gearing of the 4r70w was different than the AOD and AODE, i have traction lok so i would have 3.27's
