has anybody ever had their convertible boot /cover fly off while driving. i dont even use mine because if it wasnt for the two little snaps on the sides that thing would be gone, does anybody else have this problem the front plastic piece thats supposed to lock in behind the seat wont stay locked in place and when im driving i can see it catching some lift and have to stop and fix it.

How fast are you going? Mine stays on just fine @ 75-80 mph but I'm not sure any faster because I've never tried it. If it's coming off @ those speeds, it shouldn't, maybe one of the clips/snaps are loose. I just leave mine off anyway just because of the hassle of taking it off and putting it on.

I had mine over 120mph several times with the rear boot on and no problems. I even have one missing button.

I had the same problem on my 02 gt.  Where the boot folds those creases do not lay flat and allow air to get in under the boot.  My fix was to put the soft side of velcro on the tab that goes into the slot behind the rear seat.  This thickened it up enough that the fit was tighter and now it stays put.

i have also hit 120+ with my top cover on.  if you look at it while on the high way the air comes over the wind shield and actually pushes down on the center of it, like the air helps hold it on.

I always use mine.  Never any problem with coming off.  I have had a 90 GT, and 97 Cobra, and now a 05 GT,  never any boot problems
