I was cruising down the freeway thursday night and saw a white GT get on the entrance ramp. He pulled up on me quick, lined up... I figured he wanted to race so I dropped to third and pulled him by2 1/2 cars the first time. He tried again and got him bynearly4cars. I slowed down to see if he wanted more and sure enough, got him by4 cars again. It looked to be a 4.6 car, he at least had exhaust mods... dunno what else. The funny thing is that he had blue flames painted down the side. I guess he thought that made him faster! And to beat all, he did a classic "ricer" fly-by! Damn those 4.6's are slow. I haven't done anything to my car yet........ </P>

Oh I'm not getting confident.... just surprised thatI got him that bad. I also beat a 6 speed formula on the freeway too. That surprised me as well. Yeah, those early LT1's are hole-shot cars, not much of a freeway warrior, good kill none the less!

you talking about the 6 speeds? cause i would disagree that theyre not freeway warriors...could be wrong tho

LT1's aren't anything like the LS1's. They are far better off the line than they are after 50-60 mph.

but i would still imagine the 6 speed would provide some nice high end speed</P>

I have the opposite feeling, my car pulls just as hard in 3rd gear from 60-110 as it does from a stop. And the whole launching w/o spinning and/or breaking things, is nearly impossible in our cars. I only said 110 b/c thats about when 4th tacks out on my car and I usually don't go over that, I have some problems with police.....they don't like me.
