Default X or H pipe?

I'm seriously considering going duals. And after listening to Fallout's, and everybody else's MRT exhaust....I'm DEFINITELY getting the dual MRT AeroTurbines. My question is.....which is the better crossover to go with? The X or H pipe? Reason why I'm asking is to find out if one offers less restriction than the other or anything like that, or are they both equally as restrictive and it's just personal preferance.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Ramsey

Default RE: X or H pipe?

I recommend the H pipe, generally associated with a more muscular sound

I would stick with an H pipe. They sound bitchin on just about anything. (They usually cost less too, dont they?)

H pipe cost less because it does absolutly nothing to effectively aid scavenging properly. I wish i fully understood so i could explain it to everyone but. Honestly go with the x pipe if you have the choice between the two.

You won't notice a sotp feel between the two but you will hear it. So go with whatever your ears decide i guess.

I have a X-Pipe with Corsa Axle back. I am going to work on getting a clip soon.

On a V6, nothing does anything to effectively aid scavenging.

The mid-pipe aiding scavenging (and thus gaining horsepower) is only an issue when talking about V8's, and only an issue when talking about using off-road pipes on those V8's. A V6 (with or without cats) or a V8 with cats will not see any scavenging gains at any point.

For a V6, it's all about sound. I haven't personally heard two identical cars with identical dual mufflers and one with an H-pipe, and one with an X-pipe, but the general opinion seems to be that H-pipe = a little bit deeper, and X-pipe = a little bit more raspy. This is completely arguable though.
