I am looking at 17X8 wheels for the front and 17X10 for the back.  I do not have access to the wheels, as they are on order, being made.  (they haven't started building yet)  I have a 67 fastback, with TCP Upper and Lower control arms.  The issue of backspaing on the front is the upper control arm.  I measured the backspacing of the car, and I have 5" from rotor face to Upper control arm.  So I am assuming I need to go 4.5" of backspacing to clear the UCA with the tire mounted on the rim.  Does this sound right?  I don't want the tire protruding out of the fender, as this will cause problems.  I want the wheels to be under the car.

For the rear, 17X10's should fit with less of a problem, but the backspacing has to be right on there too.  I will measure the rear tonight.  Any input would be helpful.  Does anyone else have any experience with this setup or wheel sizes?  Thanks!

I ordered them anyways.  I will make them fit one way or another.  Kind of weird talking to myself.  This forum is slow.  Not much input.

Aye.  Should have the wheels shipped out by Friday.  At least that's what I was told.  When I get them, I'll post pics so I can look at them when I want.  when I get tires on them that is.

Called the wheelhouse today.  Said thier computers were down and to call back tomorrow at 9 am.  Feels like I;m getting the runaround from the guys.  Originally they told me I should have to my door in 7-10 days.  It's been 3 weeks already and they haven't shipped yet.  Might need to take it to the next level.  We'll see after tomorrow.

I called them last Thursday and said their computers were down and call back tomorrow.  I did, I called back Friday and talked to some younger girl and she called the place where they are being shipped from.  She called me back about 3-4 hours later and said they should be shipped out this week sometime.  We'll see.  They are a custom build but I was told originally by the sales guy that it would be 7-10 days to reach my door.  That was 4 weeks ago.  More to come.

Here are some pics finally.

I was told the rears are on a national backorder, and they are.  But I did find some in Kansas City.  The are the BFG g-Force T/A KDW 285-40-17.  Hard to find right now.  But I will have them Friday!
