Default Also.....HELP ME PLEASE!

Okay the lights in the dash are driving me bat-sh!+ insane! They don't work. The speedo cluster along with the tach...and the other things in that whole cluster, and the climate control knobs don't light up either, nor does the gear indicator on the automatic transmission shifter thingie area. Sorry about the random words.....extremely tired and wanted to get this posted to get some good ideas after I woke up before I go to work tonight.

Simplified:

None of the interior dash or console lights work. All fuses are good. Why is this happening. Any good ideas would be appreciated.

My back-up lights don't work and the bulbs don't appear to be blown. Any ideas? Sorry to steal your post.

No worries...let's just call this unofficial electrical annoyance thread.

I'll try the fuse thing...however, just incase that doesn't work, what else could be the problem?

Yeah...I did...if you're talking about the audio system head unit.

Thing is, I've changed that head unit twice and never had that issue. About two years ago, I tried to put in those indiglo gauge faces. Spliced the connection into the headlight switch. It looked good, but then it quit working, then the rest of the dash lights quit working. Ever since, I've been trying to figure this sh-- out. I have removed the splice and fixed the wire, but still no joy.[sm=headbang.gif]

Hope that piece of information helps in the diagnostic process...

Never connected the orange wire anyway...maybe I should try that and see if it is not working because that wire ISN'T connected to anything...
