I must disagree about the metal intakes being hotter in some circumstances its the opposite. I have a hood scoop so the CAI is actually quite cold when I drive fast .The EGR is going to heat up any air in your intake manifold so dont expect a huge difference.

I haven't seen a CAI yet that you can actually feel in the seat of your pants. My judgement is based soley on how loud the SC sounds between the MAC and JLT. JLT whined louder, but acceleration felt the same. JLT wins. Louder whine=more air=more power. I'm wrong all the time, this wouldn't be the first.
