I was talking to Mustangsareslow though .. . I'll show him how slow we really are.
im sure you car is faster, but 90% of mustangs out there are slow.. it seems as though who ever has the fastest car has the most money. you can make any car fast, but you probably put in 10x as much as i did just to keep up with LS1 kings.

why mod a mustang?

here's why, because you happen to like your car, and want a more out of it.  Most mustang owners don't really care than an LS1 is faster, I don't lose any sleep over it, I didn't buy it thinking its the fastest thing ever.  However, it is fun to drive and I happen to love the looks.

Also, you needn't get a supercharger to experience bolt on delight but you do make a good point.  Most bolt-on's are worthless in an of themselves (on a regular 2V GT engine - 4V's a different story).  Ford did a great job with the 4.6, getting a very respectable output consdering its size.  For folks really interested in getting more power you could start with a blower or go with port/polished heads + cam & springs.

I'd go the NA route.  If you add a full exhaust (another 1k - for a total of 3k if you do all the install yourself - alot more if you don't) you can add a very real 40 rwhp.  Get some 3.73's or 4.10's gears and you've got yourself a nice street brawler, and upped the RPM limit of the engine.  Now go ahead and add the typical bolt on's and you'd have a real screamer - possibly getting close to the 300 rwhp mark.  Not the fastest car for sure, one hell of a street car though.

So do you feel better know that you've said this same exact bs about 8 times in about 3 different forums?  Just curious.

without getting flamed....i don't care to hear why camaros suck blahh blahh and how mustangs look so pretty..blahh blahh..

honestly, not just tell me but to new mustang owners, to not invest in piddly s**t mods, for the money you will get pissed.

1. Why modify a mustang? (except for a short throw..for a better feel,  exhaust...for sound...and what do you call it sway bar?(its like 40 bucks for 10x better handling you put across your car)  but everything else for the money spent is not worth it?? think about it 700 for headers purchased and installed...5 hp..

200....underdrive pullies, 5 hp maybe

200....cai- worthless

tb, mass air flow, p&p, new heads, bigger injectors....not worth for the money spent, all minimal gains.. plus you have to get all that at once to feel a difference..get a blower first...than work backwords.

x-pipe w/ no cats.. you need a o2 sensor so your computer doesnt' get all messed up..even so i don't know if thats the best for your car...

and besides that each mod you do you should recalbriate you chip..for example, thats great you buy a mass air flow...advertises 22+ hp..bs...i don't care if more air can be allowed in car, the chip tells the engine how much air to allow in anyway..the techs making your cars aren't idiots..they designed your cars that way for a reason.

for all newbies, or those who think of doing as such, don't spend time or money..your car will never be the fastest out there...if you love how pretty your car looks and need more speed, seriously look at Kenne bells twin screw, i know a lot of mustang owners have centrifurgal, but this is the latest and greatest...for the time and money spent you will have a great set up and you just have to realize if want a faster car it will cost a lot of money..so don't go spend 15-20k on a 2k3 mustang and expect it to kick some tail on the road..

I hate it when girls act like they know all about cars.

No s**t, this person is extremely smart because he can post in absolutely any thread and he knows more about a mustang than any TRUE MUSTANG OWNER.lol  He is full of $hit if you ask me.  Those are the people you have to make them think they are right all the time.lol...  A camaro is fast, but they are gone, so now we have some powder-puff p**** thats mad at the world, especially mustang owners.

Everyone?..... Meet Mustangsareslow -------->  He talked too much s**t

Just wanna let you know that im a 2001 TA RA WS6 owner, and am not here to back up mustansareslow. I think he is wrong in every way when he says its senseless to mod a mustang. Modding is modding, whether your modding your mustang or modding your ls1. Let people do what they choose. Yes minimal mods cost a lot and dont give much hp gains, but thats not your choice. Let them decide what they want to do with there car.

But in the grandiose scheme of things, minimal mods cost around the same for every car worth modding.

The guy just likes to get a reaction. I agree with the statement made earlier, it should not be a ford vs chevy fight, it should be a ford and chevy vs ricers... We are alike, and the top two so can't we all get along?? Oh, and so we are on the same page, I will flame anytime I feel its necessary okay? THANKS..
