I believe they're making a new model in 2010, but are the continuing into 09? The reason I ask is there may be a possiblity for me to get one but not for a good couple of months, I just dont want to find out production has ceased for 1 year.

i dont think they are going to stop making them. its one of the few things they are making a good profit on at the dealerships. but with ford you never know.

3 years doing 10K shelbys a year is a good amount of cars. I think there was around 15K terminators produced in the 03 - 04 models.

We just need to wait for a complete 0 dealer markup ! grrrrrrrrrr

I think there will be an 09 but I think the volume is going to be cut way down.  Let's face it the GT500's are starting to pile up at dealer's inventory.  They want to sell them with an ADM but people aren't buying over sticker so they sit.  I would think Ford would alter the car a bit in 09 but it is still too early to tell what they will do.
If they were selling like they were in early 07 then I would definately say yes an 09 will happen.  Now I am thinking 09 will happen but at half the volume.  I think it is going to be a half year production.

In the original postings 2 years ago it was stated that it would be a 2 year run with 15-20k produced.  This of course could have changed, but I have not seen anything official announced or posted concerning this.

The only reason GT500s are or will be piling up is for the dealer markup as I said before, theres some dealerships or stealerships still charging 15 - 20K over the sticker. When they get sold for sticker there will be an entire new market opened for a lot of customers being able to afford that car. I dont doubt there will be a huge bunch of S-197 GT owners just waiting for prices to come down and to buy a GT500, like me.

I hear ya, Im close to a decent downpayment to drop on one when I can grab it at MSRP. 42k is much nicer on the wallet than 60k
