There is a beautiful 65 coupe, 3 speed 289 in mint condition setting out next to a shop near here.. red interior white exterior.. Im REALLY considering it. Im either going to pick up a classic or a fun car this year, or hold off till next year and the woman and I are going to pick up a high end used sports car or a new fun car instead... we are still talking it over, havent quite decided what we want to do yet.

I seem to go through these things way to quick. Buy it cheap, blow a motor, sell it for what I have in it.. Buy it broken down, repair it, sell for a profit.. Or in the case of the cobra, sell it pre divorce.

Well, we bought the 79. It's the turbocharged 4 cyclinder, but we are going to buy another fox with a V8 for parts and swap the motors. We plan to have a built V8 in it.

It doesn't have the pace car paint. It is black like the one pictured above.

dont take out that motor. 79 with a 4 turbo are very very hard to find you myfriend have a very nice car on your hands. if anything build up the little 4cyl and up the boost

It's just not the same as a big loud V8.

You are right, it will get better mileage.:D Seriously though, that is the only thing I don't like about my SVO is that it doesn't sound like the 5.0's of the day, although those that don't know the classic 5.0 sound generally think it is a quiet V8.

It probably is a pretty rare car, too bad you're gonna tear it apart and stick a run-of-the-mill V8 in it. But hey, yours not mine right? ;)

I wouldn't say run of the mill V8. We plan to build it. And we think we're going to keep the 4 banger engine so if we ever decide we could always pull the V8 out and put that into another project and restore the 4 banger. You have to remeber it's not the pace car paintjob so.

These might be the exact wheels, they look 10X better than the stock ones.

2005 GT and a 1988 GT cobra clone project car, bought it as a clone needs restoration and lots of motor work...idiots swapped the motors, still has 5.0 in it but they cut the heck outa the wiring harness and screwed up other stuff when they put the new one in[:@]
