well after doing some research for you, a mr2 has somewhere from 110 - 200 hp, the 200 is turboed/ (supercharger ( there were a few of these made )) dont know weights but i think thats a fairly light ass car, maybe compareable to a del sol. if it is that light then 130 + you may have a problem. the reason, the thing is so light it will fly. okay the 86 has 112 hp. not alot. put a friend in your car and someone in his, videotape it, it will probally be close because his car is so light. maybe 1 car most for the winner. try to get a heavier person in the other guys car thou.

and his mustang is about 800 pounds heavier with 150 hp. his car isnt anything special...no where near the kind of car that has **** talking rights by any means, but he may take you. 112hp 2300lb car vs. 150hp 3200lb car.

he will run you but not by much.

your stang is slow. no offense but that's facts. mine was slow as hell stock too.

your looking at 9.0 0-60 and 17 sec quarter mile times.

you can however mod your stang far more than he can ever do. and nobody will be searching junkyard 30 years from now for an MR2

he'll never shut up if he beats me
even if its by very little.
but his is a manual trans and he is horible at shifting and working the clutch
he went through 2 clutches in 1 summer then blew the motor over reving it
he got his new motor from a junk yard a little while ago.
u guys think it would be possible to beat him if i get a better start
uno .6 and .5 sec difference not that much
i cant stand those 4 banggers with those stupid exhausts uno
so its top priority to beat him.
i dont want to completely over haul the car for racing just enough to put those 4 banggers in there place.
