well... I've got the "regular" v6 package right now, but I will be getting a gt takeoff rear sway bar tomorrow. I'll let you know my opinions.

But reading around here on the forums a lot of people say it makes a lot of difference in handling. "More of a go-kart feel" is what I see a lot...

I can't say how the Pony Package V6's handle but I can tell you that adding the GT rear sway bar to the standard V6 (that came with no rear sway bar) made a noticeable difference for the better.  The car no longer rolls & wallows from side to side in the corners.  Will be adding the front sway bar from a GT next.  Would guess that the Pony Package suspension upgrades are very worthwhile. Drove a twisty mountain road with the stock suspension and the handling was nothing to brag about as the economy rental cars in front and back were both moving at the same pace as I felt comfortable.  Later drove the same road after installing the rear sway bar from a GT and the difference was very noticeable and much more predicable.  Still have not gotten the front GT bar installed as the car is stored for winter.

I would think so. If I remember right, the PP and GT have the same diameter front sway bar.

I was going to a car show in parade of mustangs.  The lead car thought they were supposed to be keeping up with the police escort (which was running ahead to block side roads) so they were hauling ass on twisty back roads.   I was immediately following a Pony Package car.  Now my car is setup specifically for handling (255 KDWs, full Eibach sportline suspension, a lot of rear suspension parts, K-frame bar, etc.) but he was difficult to follow.  My car could outhandle his but it was only marginally better rather than staggeringly so as with a standard package.
