Took the car to the track tonight and the best I could muster was a 15.129 at 92.64 mph. With the mods I have I was expecting more but the bad driver mod is ftl. I 60' at 2.388 ans at the 1/8 mile I was at 9.80 at 74.73 mph. My mods include a ported big valve head, 3rd gen bob's log, la3 swap, stinger 3 inch exhaust slightly ported lower intake, fpr (set at stock for now) and a boost controller (not sure of exactly how much boost I am making till i get my autometer guage on) I am maxing out the stock guage and the buzzer is going off so I am at least at 17.5 psi. Is it just me or are the times kinda slow? What should I expect time wise if I had a good run?

judging by your trap speed you should be running mid to high 14's. I would just get some sticky tires and try launching it pretty hard.

Well someone on another forum suggested I was running way lean with the mods I have and stock fuel pressure so I took there advice and upped the fuel pressure from a base of 39 psi to 46 psi and it is like night and day. car runs way smoother and pulls way harder then it was. I am putting my lm1 wideband on it on monday to make sure on my a/f ratios but I can already tell it is way faster. With my mods I was hoping for more like a 13 second pass so we will see.

You are right, those are way slow and mph is low for the mods. With less mods and a worse 60' I ran quite a bit quicker than you did. Last time at the track on street tires was 14.44 @ 99 mph with a 2.4 60'
Is the knock sensor connected? If the car was running way lean and it was connected it was definitely pulling timing and boost in an attempt to save a head gasket. Bumping up the fuel pressure is a good move, although all the way to 46 seems a bit extreme. I would think ~44 would be enough at 18 or so psi. Definitely get the better boost guage and wideband hooked up to see exactly where you are.

No front mount yet, I was told by schlodes on turboford that he bumped fuel pressure on his to 45-50 psi and it was safe. I will wait and see what my a/f readings are before I mess with it anymore. Knock sensor is disconnected, I also have a 1035 head gasket and arp head studs for strength. You run stock injectors on your ride? what are your mods to get a 13 second pass? How do you launch your car? Do you dump your clutch or do you slip it?

Schlodes is a smart guy, but I thought he was running a bunch more boost? I don't really know, but I run about 44 psi fuel pressure and 20 psi boost and have yet to kill a head gasket. I thought the rough rule was to bump the fuel pressure up by 1 psi for every extra psi of boost.
Mods: LA3 and 35# injectors, 3 inch downpipe and exhaust to 2.5 inch muffler and a single pipe out the back, TC 8.8 rearend with 3.55's, subframe connectors, VAM and K&N relocated through the fender, ebay special FMIC, A237 cam that came in the car, lightly ported E6, lightly ported head that came in the car, cam advanced 2*, timing to 12* and boost set to 20psi. I also have an aftermarket boost guage and Hurt roll control. My Hoosier drag radials are the biggest part of the mid 13's.
With the radials I just drop the pressure to about 14 psi and hold on . Both feet to the floor, dump the clutch off the limiter, and power shift all the way down the track. The little car will pull out mid 1.7x 60' times every time on a decently prepped track.
As I mentioned earlier, last time at the track on street tires I sucked and so have very little advice on launching with street tires. I very highly suggest a FMIC of some sort. My car picked up a solid 3-4 mph and about 3 tenths in the 1/4 over the stock IC.

fmic is on the to do list, I would love to get a stinger kit but am a poor college student so... I would be afraid to throw sticky tires and launch like that with the stock 7.5 I have in the car, I cant afford to break it. I will adjust fuel pressure after I see how much boost I am actually running.

Trust me, I fully understand the poor college kid situation. I had my 8.8 ready to go in for well over a year just waiting on it to break lol. The stock 7.5 put up with ~300 passes like that, plus whatever abuse it had before I owned the car. It surprised me how long it lasted actually.

I have an 8.8 with 3.73's already but I really don't want to swap it beacause 1) gears are higher than I would want and 2) I I do it I want to do it right and replace all the factory parts with maximum motorsports parts.

I can definitely understand wanting to do it right, but why not 3.73's? They will provide a bit more go off the line, and came stock in the 85.5's and 86's. I would think mileage differences would be almost negligible between 3.45's and 3.73's.
