Default 8.8" rear swap?

for those of you that have done it, what additional parts, if any, are needed for a swap? i'm trying to plan my new mod list and wondering if i should consider swapping for a 8.8" GT-takeoff rear (3.73's) or just change the gears and and add lsd for my stock 7.5". thanks.

here's the link with the 8.8"/3.73's:

You need the V6 pinion u joint flange.
The 8.8 comes with a GT pinion u joint flange.
Other than that, its a direct swap.
Some of the OEM hardware is of the one time use design.
Please try and use new suspension hardware
wherever Ford recommends and only use
Ford replacement hardware.

It's also time for a one piece DS, since you're gonna be in there.
I assume you're planning on goingFI right?

nope. just thinking cost and durability. i was just wondering what was involved and if its even worth it as opposed to just gears/lsd/install for the stock 7.5".

So, if you get the 8.8, and the V6 flange, would you be able to use a standard 1 piece DS for the V6?

yep. Now if I could just find a GOOD write up on how to install this or a reputable installer, I'd order it right now.

Ahh I'm so excited. I'm getting the 8.8 and the Aluminum DS after the nitrous, which is coming shortly. It would be sooner, but I just picked up clear corners, a gt500 spoiler, gt500 strut brace, and some 17" bullits.

Why don't I have any money? hahaha
