In honor of Saleen's twenty fifth anniversary, the specialty manufacturer has decided to produce an extremely limited edition car to mark the occasion. Just 25 Sterling Edition S302E's will be produced for sale. The Sterling edition has a host of upgraded and unique features; Inside the cabin is very handsome black alcantara leather with silver stitched seating, iPod connectivity, a dash mounted start button and above that a 16oz solid sterling silver serialized medallion. On the outside, you'll find custom 20" five spoke wheels, hand painted anniversary logos, billet emblems, and carbon fiber splitters front and rear. Under the hood you'll find...

Holy sh*t Its a lot of coin indeed, but in SA tradition I bet all 25 will be sold before they are built. Its really not over priced if you think about it (with Saleen in mind)....the S302 is a $80k car itself, and this is basically a S302 with a few visual enhancements and the $17k custom paint. I bet I know where one of these cars is going (if not this one...#01)....to sit next to a certain collectors SA-10, SA-15 and SA-20
That is a question I had Sowaxmen, is there a collector out there that has all of the Anniversary models? I also thought the SA 5 was never really an anniversary car and there was only 1 of those built? If there is someone you know that has all of these cars, which one would you say He/she likes the best? Why? I think it is still the SA 10 but the SA20 is nice I just wish they had done more with the motor and made it an E Car.
Also the breakdown in Saleen terms it probably is a justified price tag I guess. Considering 620 hp, stump pulling torque and the other creature feature enhancements like NAV and the custom paint. But again. That is a unique group to be in that is for sure. Definately "Power In The Hands of a Few"
Peace,

I have it on good authority that the numbers on the 302E variants are understated by a healthy amount. Try 680hp or so at the flywheel...580 to the ground. We'll have to wait 6-8 weeks and see.

Yes there is an idividual out there with all 3. Not sure what her exact role is, but she is a big proponent of the SOEC (Saleen Owners & Enthusiasts Club). I don't know her personally so I can't answer your question about which one she likes best. If you ever see the episode of American Muscle Car that features Steve Saleen, you will see a brief interview with her (Debbie I blieve ) sitting next to all three
Thanks, I also thought Patti Redeker was another one of the Anniversary owners as well?. Wasn't she one of the main Contributors the original Saleen Book that pretty much covers the Fox Cars?
Peace..

+1. It's as if they don't truly grasp the exclusivity of this vehicle. 1 of only 25 ever made and if it's like the previos anniversary models, those who do own them will more than likely have a 1 of 1 because 2 of those vehicles will most likely not be built alike. If I had 100k to spend on a car, I would go with the SA-25 over a ZR1 Corvette. But that's due to the fact that I love Saleens. Others feel different. But the people commenting on that page need to do some research and think before they speak.
@smokyburnout: oh, and forget ipod connectivity... take out the stereo system for weight savings, and make drivers listen to the roar of a bored-out, supercharged, and turbocharged v8 with propane injection or something.
I'm very happy with my Mustang GT Premium package with all the Saleen/Steeda goodies for a total of 29,000. + 16,000 or so. That's a lot of money, Errrrrrrrrk
