Guys I am not blasting my car or changing the color. I am not repainting the door jambs or the underside of the trunk. I am painting the new hood red but it comes primered so that should not be an issue. And the guys is sanding the car down to metal or at least primer before he does anything else so its not a major job. I do not need all of the stuff you guys are talking about.  Look at the pictures of my car in the camera logo.

Not a chance but I bet for $1500 I get a better paint job then most of those for $5000 or more.  And I bet that some of the stuff I have heard makes no sense at all.  I see no reason to blast my car and one other thing.  At one time people where I come from used to periodically have their cars repainted as a norm. No one went 5 or more years without painting their cars because of the salty ocean environment and you could not tell the difference between factory and a repaint.  Those jobs all cost less then $1000 and perfection was expected.  You guys give car painters way to much credit for a simple repaint.  I have not met one that said it would take more then a week to do the job. Lets see $700 for materials and $4300+ for labor in a 5 day week.  I am a multi degreed engineer and I do not make $5000 a week but you guys go right ahead and pay $5000+ for a simple repaint.  Not me.
