This option is a "FOR SURE" thing for 09, same body style, 2010 will get the body and motor change, This according to the dealer principal where I purchased my car.

i was reading that theyre also going to have h.i.d lights as a new option, there were some other things, theyre on the ford site

I'm just waiting for the "Glassback" option to go below $2800 to install so I can get one. It's just a little too trick for my wallet right now. Super nice though.

That'd suck to get caught in a hailstorm with a glass roof. It's a cool idea though!

It will be some pretty tough glass, it has to pass test, including rollover.
I recall an old tv that had 3/8 of inch tempered glass, and we could not break it with a brick .

At least it looks better than the Glassback aftermarket crap that totally changes the roof line. Not a fan of either one really.

I've seen them in the dealership near me, they gave a Regency, the roof itself looks awesome!

i think that the glassback cars are cool, but ive never been in one. hopefully ill get a good look at one of our member's cars at the michigan area M&G...ive wondered if there is a curtain or something that pulls up, or is it like having a moon roof that is always open? the sunroof in my car has a shade that slides under it, so when you dont want the sun shining on your face, you can prevent it...but i dont know if the glassback offers anything like that.
as for the glass, i would think that it is no different thahn windshield glass, which will hold up to some serious hail.
aode08, i had to laugh at the tv versus brick comment..when i was in college, we got an old ass tv, like one of the units that comes in the huge cabinet...and took it apart. i could bounce a hammer off the front of it...but when we dropped a cinder block from a second story window, it broke the glass...

i saw one at Carlisle PA on a show car a come big companies booth...it was pretty sweet looking...but did flow with the car b/c the had the colors and stripes that were see through from the inside...like those rear truck window picture tints...i like as long as the colors could match exactly

I seen the 09 GT with the glass roof today at the cleveland auto show. It looked really nice and it wasnt too much light. It was similar to an oversized sun roof but alot cooler.

not a big fan of this whole glass roof thing. +1 for whoever said put in sunroofs. I want one in my car so bad. I love having all the windows down on a nice clear day but its just missing that sunroof effect
