Surely that 13.2 is on slicks though?

You are silly if you think a mach 1 will run a 13.2 stock.  I can't believe you people think they are that much faster than a gt.  They are fast, but not a low 13.  A new cobra is only running a 12.8-12.9 at the local track here... Get real

That's what I was thinking from what I've seen and read. I thought stock for stock they were slightly slower than the new TA's and Z's.95LT137932.9101851852

They are rated at 13.9, so figure that they will probably run 13.7-13.8 with a perfect driver and a bit of tail-wind on a perfect day.

low 13's nah, with a few things done to it I'm sure it could hit that, and a nice driver and some good tires...few bolt ons...

No.  A Mach 1 has significantly more power than a GT.  And it breathes better.  I believe 13.4 is fully achievable by anyone that can drive worth a damn, while 13.2 is "perfect."  And btw... I have a friend with an '02 WS6 6-speed that ran a 12.99 @ 110mph+ in 40 degree weather, with a horrible 2.15 60' time.

damn....I knew they were fast but....damn. If I could change my gears w/o having to worry about bombing my rear end I could also venture into the 12's with just a mere gear change....damn weak ass rears.

[/QUOTE] When you decide to trade in that tuner and get a Mach 1, post a slip that shows you in the low 13's.  If you do a few cheap mods with some good rubber, then yes it will, but not off of the showroom floor.  I have played around with one on the street and it damned sure ain't a full second quicker than a stock gt. We are not talking a difference of 100 hp.

Yeah, with slicks maybe.  I am not sure where you get your stats, but c'mon.  Be real,  I have one and I would damned sure love to say it will run 13's, but it won't.(probably will now with mods)  Don't you ever go to the track to watch cars??  I go just about every Saturday including tonight and all Stock 99 and up Gt coupes run a consistent 14-14.2, depending on weather and track.  The best I have seen is like a 14.06 or something very low, but he had a mere perfect 60'...

Venture over to Mach 1 forums, those guys are constantly pulling 13.0-13.2 STOCK times with a 5 speed. DOHC 4v, under rated at 305hp, when they are actually 325hp.

Also, playing with one on the street means absolutely jack s**t. There are so many more factors that play in on the street than there is at the track.

Like I said before, take a trip over to some Mach 1 forums and check out the 13.0-13.2 STOCK SLIPS. They make 325hp at the crank, and several Mach 1 owners have dyno'd their cars stock at 285-295 RWHP with a 5 speed. I don't think you know what you are talking about.

I won an 86 5.0 GT and eat camaros alice in their lil P.O.S 305's.... Im thinking the only Camaros worth anything are the late 60's early 70's modles. LOL i dont see where people come off with theier bottle of nos thinking they can smoke any car out there. Wow i wish i could actually meet a few of these "boasters" and make them cry when their daddy bought car gets smoke by an old classic 5.0

on the mach ones go to mach 1 registry .com you might have to do a search but thats the name. some of the good drivers are in the 12's. (never seen it myself though.) but i dont remember if they had mods or not. those dual over head's flow alot better than a single. even with little mods they jump to attention.
