yes that is alot of info but it will help others to figure out what basic combo's they want to start out with even though most 5.0's that you find for sale now have just about every bolt on known to man kind

nice find! i particularly like how bigger throttlebody doesnt mean better. i find it weird that the 1.7s made good power on a stock engine, but less power on the modified one?! wtf?

Yeah, that definitely doesn't go along with other dyno tests I've seen...
like I say: screw all the small bolt ons...go for the throat from day one...h/c/i right away!! then build your list of supporting mods around the h/c/i

yea thats alot of good info, i like how they actualy showed just the one mod on a stock engine so you can realy see what it alone does. +1 about the tb, i was set on a 70mm for my h/c/i but i might go with a 65 now.

Why didn't they show stock motor results then take it and put pulleys, ram air, 1.7's, advance the timing, bigger TB, remove the silencer, synthetics, long tubes, K&N filter and ice the intake and THEN see what all those bolt ons would do working together!!! One or two alone won't give you much, but I bet all of them on the same motor would lay down some respectible numbers. What they did is like being naked and testing clothing out piece by piece one at a time to see how warm they keep you. Like get naked, put a pair of gloves on, go out in the cold and say... nope... still cold. Then be naked, put sockes on, go out in the cold... nope... still cold. Then wear just a hat, just a sweater, just a pair of underwear, etc. Testing one item of clothing out one at a time will not keep you very warm, but put all the items on and go outside and you'll be hot! I don't think they busted any myths.

i would still get the 70mm.
on my 302 i am building i am putting a 90 into 75 on it. so we will see if the bigger is better. on a H/C/I a 70 is a nice in between

when i put a 65mm tb and 75mm maf on my car with the bbk cai (tuned) there was a noticable "wake-up" in throttle response and pulled like a bat out of hell
the stock intake runners are really restricted as well, i think if i did an intake swap my car would have had close to 260hp (crank)
