Well I can't completely blame the drag radials, but they were probably 90% to blame for this accident. The other 10% was me doing 60 in a 55 and having the cruise control set when it was raining. I hit a huge puddle in the road and the back end slid out and put me in the ditch, through a barb wire fence and then back through it. I think I scratched every panel on the car including the roof! I never even hit the brakes which is probably the only reason we didn't spin or flip (not sure it would flip with no traction at all).
Pics tomorrow. I must warn you some of the scratches are hard to look at. The supercharger is just fine, thanks for asking.
As far as body damage goes I lost my drivers side rocker panel (it was trashed so I left it there) Lower black plastic grill was trashed. Front bumper has some nice scratches and deep gouges on the passenger side. Somehow the front lower portion of the drivers door got damaged. There's a piece of barbed wire stuck in my rear spoiler, it almost cut right through it. There's a dime size hole on the side of the rear bumper. The passenger rear quarter panel has a football sized dent in it which I popped out, but it's ****ed anyway. The scratches on the front fenders are gruesome and I'm not sure if they could even reuse either of them even though there are no dents. the A pillars look like someone took a cheese grater to them.
It's all cosmetic and atleast I didn't hit anyone or anything (except the fence and some baby pine trees.
The Highway patrol wouldn't even come because they were to busy dealing with multi-car accidents with injuries. The county sheriff that stopped by said it was a highway patrol matter and they had to come because I damaged the fence (probably Georgia Pacifics property), but they told him to forget about it because it wasn't happening anytime soon. The tow truck driver charged me $75 to pull me out.
I'm really sick about needing a full paint job, but the ford paint wasn't that great to begin with so how bad could it be.
Wait till you see the pics, you will cringe. I'm putting the stock tires back on tomorrow and never driving around on drags again, to dangerous.

Just me and the wife. Traction control was on by the way, but didn't help because it happened so fast.

Thats a bummer, I lost traction in the rain once and it threw me right into a curb and offset my whole rear axle. They had to replace the whole left rear suspension, some axle parts and a rim. Worst time of my life, lol. Anyway your lucky you didn't damage your suspension. Oh yah and an oil pan.

The good news is i'm not going to have the body shop replace the rear spoiler (never liked it). If it wont cost more then i'll just have the holes filled and painted.
I'm trying to look at the bright side, besides not hitting a tree or another car.

Sad Story Moose, but I'm glad You weren't hurt, and your Wife is OK. As far as the Car, it'll be back to normal soon enough. I'm not sure how Streetworthy these Drag Radials actually are.

Sorry about the accident. I had always heard don't ever drive in the rain with drag radials, glad you will be going back to the stock tires for daily driving.

sorry to hear that moose! wont the insurance company give you c*** for the D/Rs and blame you for having them on?
They would if they knew, but there is no police report and i'm not telling them. I'm putting the stockers back on tomorrow. The lip of the drivers side rear rim was damaged slightly, but they are 17x9's from American muscle and i'm not too concerned about them.

No, just remove the rear spoiler, i like the rest of the car. I said i'm not going to restripe it, but my wife said why not, we can do it better the second time. I still might leave it with no stripes.

Cruise control and slick conditions (especially with tires not made for rain) = dangerous conditions. Not to be an ass moose, but Im going to say having the cruise control on was 90% to blame.
