Sorry to hear about your car moose, the same kind of thing happened to my dad in his 93 vert.  It is painful to see but body shops can do amazing things and have it looking even better than before in no time.  Glad you and your wife are ok.  The car soon will be good too.

Moose, that sucks!  glad everyone is ok.  Looks like they may total the car if all the body panels are damaged.

Thank god you and the wifey are okay Moose!

It's been said enough and I'm sure you now know about using cruise control in anything but perfect weather...

Having said that, FYI - even though my car is a daily driver, I'm glad I live in Cali cause I NEVER drive my car in the rain at any speed. I remember picking it up from the paint shop and it was bairly sprinkling and when I turned out onto the main road and gave it just a hint of throttle, it twisted sidewayz instantly on me and I almost crapped myself.. After that, I didn't mess with it in the rain on any DR's.

Last month it started raining at the track and I drove home on the freeway with the hazzards on at 30 mph. Power and less than optimum road conditions never mix and adding DR's in the mix really elevates it.

You're okay and a good lessoned learned so things could be much worse, my friend... be happy! + you now have an excuse to make it even nicer!

Moose, you're breaking my heart man.

I hope I'm not bad luck to you... I prolly was one of the last guys talking to you from the show, after meeting you.
I just found out today from Jeff (blackout) about your ordeal.

The Lord has a funny sense of humour...  This kind of stuff never happens to @ssholes and worthless people.
Only cool and classy guys such as yourself, seems like.

If you need any help with your car, please, let me know... I'm sure I can do something.

Glad that you and your other half escaped unhurt.
The Stang will recover and it'll be soon, a bad memory.

Stay well.

I can be.  the car goes in the shop tomorrow.

Was driving home from work today (in the rain) and there was a bad wreck probably caused by the weather.  An old f150 and deliver truck hit almost head on and ended up in a ditch.

I'm just glad no one was on the road and I was able to keep it straight.

As for painted strips, yeah they look much, much better, but I like the fact that I can replace them myself every few years for only $100.  Not to mention I can change the color.  If this were a show car then I could see do it.

Every panel got scratched, but only the front left fender needs replacing.  The body shop may not agree though.  I don't think the bumper covers can be repaired, but he didn't put them on the estimate.

that is sucky..

I think I may not get drag radials after all ;) (actually we don't get much moisture here)

I'm curious though, why not make a claim on your insurance? thats why you pay.. unless you already have claims recently any decent insurance company wont raise your premiums because of a claim.

I can have 2 at fault accidents because ive been with state farm for 7 years w/o an accident  (Or maybe its just 1 till 10 years? its been awhile, i forgot) w/o any raise to my premium.. and i keep my deductible for comp at $0 and collision for 250.. and I don't believe that they will raise your rates for comprehensive claims because techinally there should have been nothing you could have done to prevent it.. (although if they believe you've been negligent that is another story)...

anyway... thanks for the tip on the DRs

I know man.
When I read it again, it could sound the other way.
You can't write like you speak, not as spontaneous.

Moose I'm sorry.
