Default Overaxle Pipe, Muffler Question

Where is everyone getting their overaxle (midpipe?) for the driver side from? Also I have one used GT muffler and one new one, how bad will it sound if I put them both in? (I bought them together, installed one, and couldn't afford to install the second one, I've had it on there for about a year.)

Default RE: Overaxle Pipe, Muffler Question

most people buy a a whole new system, like JBA H pipe and mid pipes from v6mustangstuff.com or Pypes X pipe and mid pipes.

others go to places like midas and have them run their own pipes, doing it this way is cheaper, but you will most likely not get mandrel bent pipes like you would with a JBA or Pypes system.

as for 1 used muffler and one old, i doubt it would matter, it wont take long for the new one to break in and be just like the other

+1. I bought the JBA H pipe kit which includes the mid and both over-axle pipes. You might be able to find someone in your town to do it, but it's hard to say. I phoned about 10 muffler places in my city of around 1,000,000 people and not a single shop had a mandrel bender, so the muffler guys said someone might be able to do it, but it would be a pieced-together crappy setup which wouldn't flow well. If you find someone in your town who can do it with a mandrel bender, go for it, but otherwise you're probably just better off buying a pre-bent factory kit.
