The price is going to be around $42,000! 450+ HP (under ratted) they will only make about 7,000 a year and are also going to making a sportrac via SVT!
The price seems to be creeping up monthly. Just a couple months ago the car was reported to base in the mid-high 30's. Last month they were saying 40k, now there are saying 42k. I'm quite sure they aren't done yet, and it will probably be at least 45k or more by purchase time, not counting the 'dealer adjustment charge'.
im thinking the same thing, next thing you know, they will cost as much as the vette. i will tell you this, that supercharged 5.4 better be underrated at 450, or i will be dissapointed.

Well thanks. And for the record, I'm not on this cool Mustang message board to argue with anyone, nor call anyone, such as your lovely self, nasty names. You have a good day, woman. "C"
I was at my dealers office yesterday and he has been given allocation for two GT 500's and the HP is to be rated @ 515. This comes from the owner of the dealership. The price will be with every option @$46K, bare bones will be $41K+.
oooo those pictures are nice. I dont know much about the engine on these things but are they using an eaton twin screw?
They were penciled in to use a twin screw blower, but fairly recently Ford decided to with a roots unit. It's really too bad, because it will change the whole powerband in the car for the worse. IMO, it's just a way for Ford to keep their costs down. Shame on Ford for going roots. At one time, I considered getting one; if I had $ down on one, I would have changed my mind after hearing about the roots switch. The piece of sh!t roots blower ford will be using isn't worthy of being on a car like this. Once again, shame on Ford.
I keep hearing the same info. Sold in 2006 as a 2007. But 515HP? I'm seeing 465-475 in the mags. Ford has said their price will be about 39K. However, the dealers can add their mark up. In my area, they are marking up V6 stangs by 3K. The old Cobras were typically marked up almost everywhere 5K. I expect no less than 5K as a mark up, but I can see how it could go to 10K quite easily.
You know, no matter how nice it is, its a frigin' car, ekim. All this additional hype is going to drive the price higher at the dealerships. You are doing exactly what they want you to do. Gee, has anyone really thought about how much the insurance on this bastard is going to cost? Hell, most won't even want to drive it for fear of a scratch or dent.
I say no thanks. For the same money, you can buy and mod a car to do the same thing. Probably spend less $ doing it, and no one would suspect what lurked under the hood.
Yeah, it is a nice looking car, but it's still a car.
