So,i finally got my exhaust redone. I'm going to try to get some pics takin when i can. And i'll try and get some sound clips.
I ended up buying Goerlich (copycat of flows old patents) one chambers, and a stainless tru-x from magnaflow. I was hoping for it to be insanely loud but it is almost the same at idle except alittle louder and more rumbly and it brings out the sound of the cam better. Where i really noticed the difference between the old 40s i had is that it actually sounds good when i get on it, and it's hellaciously loud then.
Altogether even though it's not as loud as i hoped from single chambers, i'm very satisfied with it.
gonna have to get a quick vid clip and post it so we can hear
i have a friend with a really nice camera phone, i'll try to get him to get a video of it tommorow. that's the best i can do really until i can find someone with a camcorder.
you still have that holley? i'll trade you my edelbrock for it LOL. I'm joking but i'm kinda serious, the edelbrock needs rebuilt and i'm not a big edelbrock fan anyway. It's a 600 with an electric choke. let me know if you're interested

Should have went with the 10 series like me. Insanely loud. I'm putting my Carb back together saturday and hopefully starting my car up then!!! (Incase you forgot, MY CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE!)

I got the Goerlich VX one chambers, they are the exact same thing as flowmaster 10 series, just without the delta flow plate. Goerlich uses flowmaster's old designs now that the patents are up. That's why i think it's weird that it's not very loud. It does sound really good though, better than those flowmaster 40's i had. But i've only driven it, i need to have one of my friends drive it and then i can stand out side and hear if it's loud or not. I think the real problem is i'm used to having my mufflers under my seats.

"geddy, i have the holley if you wanna buy it - but certainly i wouldnt want to trade a almost new street avenger for a edelbrock in need of a rebuild "
I figured as much, it doesn't hurt to ask though. i hate this peice of crap edelbrock. one of these times it backfires on me again i hope it blows up. then i'll have an excuse to get a new carb finally. If you guys haven't figured it out yet, my car looks pretty but it has some problems
