Oddysey and Sandman,

Those duals sound great.
I have a Borla single exhaust installed, and I understand it is the same as the FRPP?
In any case, if I want a slightly louder and more aggressive sound, will going dual give me this?

Thanks for a great thread!

I really need to find some time to put up another video.. they have changed a little since that day.

It's actually hard for me to describe the way these sound.. but aggressive is definitely a word I would use. They sound very "open" at cruse with a lot of personality. When I say open.. I don't mean open like no muffler.. just free flowing.

The difference between the way a dual sounds and a single.. is basically the difference between listening to music with one speaker and then listening to the same song in stereo. Duals are not necessarily louder.. just more complex.. richer.

I defiantly feel a difference in power on the highway too.

I love hearing explinations of these mufflers... and knowing that mine will be here any day now.

Give me more details. If you get a chance, I wouldn't mind hearing them with some miles on them.

Next time I drive out to my parent's house for the weekend, I'll make a video....I'll even throw in a little burnout.

Just got my kit on, sounds great.  But, the instructions for the install SUCK.  Worst instructions I have ever seen, ever.  And I like little touches like two extra clamps so you are never sure which clamps to use where.  And instructions that tell you to mount the two driver side muffler support brackets, but then only supply two bolts to do this instead of the required four (the packing sheet even says two hangers, two bolts.... DUH.... two bolts each means four bolts needed, morons).

The part I was worried about most was cutting the Y-pipe, but believe it or not that seems to be one of the easier parts.  And yea I was confused about the clamps too, I ended up using the one that came with the x-pipe because it seems to fit the pipes better and that is why they probably put them in the box.

And you are right Sandman, the exhaust sounds amazing now that it is broke in, hard to explain but it just sounds right for a V6.  I don't think you could get a better sound without going to a V8.

Oddysey, thanks for all of the time you took with this thread!  Your duals sound fantastic.  I just ordered my own set, based off of this thread.  Can't wait to get them on!!

If I ever go dual, which I'm certain I will, the FRPP will be the choice.
This thread has been influential in this decision.
    Thanks Oddysey and Sandman.

Just so everyone out there that buys this kit and installs it themselves.  The kit only comes with 2 hanger bolts, but you'll need 4 for the 2 new hangers.  Take the bolts from the front stock hanger that you will not use with the kit mufflers.  Voila!  There's your extra bolts!  I hope everyone out there that put on an aftermarket single before going duals, saved their hardware.

They are by far not the best videos considering I was at my girlfriends house, and in a neighborhood (as you can tell). So don't give me hell about driving like that through it.  I already didn't want to punch it, but my girlfriend is the one who has the camera so I have to do with what I got.

The first one I couldn't rev it cause the next door neighbors were outside with kids, getting ready to go to church. The second one was when most of everyone was at church on the street so I hope they were all gone.

They lost quality when I ran them through Windows Movie Maker but I had to shrink them. And I don't have to tell you that they sound MUCH better in person. I don't know how many times I had to tell my friends that its a V6. And you know I love it every time I correct them.

First: (I just noticed I got the camera a little to close. http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/tmsmith124/Cars/My%20Stang/FRPP%20Exhaust%203-15-08/?action=view&current=MOV00799NEW.flv

    Comments welcome.

Thats the cheapest I have heard... Bought mine for 550~ + 80 shipping. Better grab that deal up where ever it is!

Just got back from the guy who installed my mufflers. Seems we have gotten the rattles all out and its sounding great. I've put around 300 miles on it already from Saturday and they sound better every day.

Also, another thing I want to add. I saw a lot of people talking about how restrictive the stock muffler is, and expect a MPG increase. Well, I'm here to tell you, I experienced a 6-7 average MPG increase. I was amazed! Looks like the exhaust will pay for itself over time now with the way the gas rpcies are increasing!
