I have a 10 psi boost gauge in my saleen extreme, but have seen people talk about the 15 psi boost gauge as being the "extreme" boost gauge.

Is the 15 psi gauge supposed to come with the E straight from saleen? or is that only a purchased upgrade?

Do you have the Black Extreme from Finish Line Ford, Because I live in Peoria and I remember looking at their Black extreme they had in and it had the 10 psi guage and I was completely baffled why it had the smaller boost guage. Maybe yours is special. Does the boost want to top out over the 10psi? Because I thought the Extremes had like 11 or 12 psi stock.

All extremes should come with the 15 psi boost gauge. Stick extreme maximum boost is 11 psi.

Sounds like an assembly line goof-up...I'd call your dealer or Saleen directly and get the correct guage to swap it out.

15 is definatley what they come with i have 3 E cars here that all say 15 and everyone ive ever seen has 15.

Yes, I DO have the Black Extreme from Finish Line Ford. I will bring it back to them and have them put the 15 psi gauge on it!

oh yes, and by the way, it DOES want to go over the 10 psi mark.

I contacted Finish Line Ford (my dealership) last week and they said they would order it right away...

I like contacting my dealership first...they tend to help me out the most when they are the first people to know about an issue.

Also, I thought Saleen, Inc. actually drove the cars and did rigorous test inspections before releasing their vehicles....the problems I have had with mine should have been found before it left the plant (wrong gear programming in ECU, incorrect boost gauge, bolts missing from oil pan, cruise control acceleration even after letting off gas pedal)

serernrc if you get to keep the 10# bost gauge i would be interested in it. i live in peoria and want a saleen gauge????

tell your dealer that i say it's ok to keep your old gauge. that way GRAY07GT can have it.
If the dealer has any questions, tell them to give me a call.

Gray07gt, I'll be ordering the 15 psi guage soon and will sell my 10 psi guage if your still interested.

Finish Line (dealer) called yesterday and said the new gauge was in, but there is nothing but salt and snow on the roads here in central Illinois so it may be a while before I can get it installed and have the old one available

George, nothing but love man....remember, I bought the extreme for a reason - and that reason wasn't to complain about the car :)

Well, I finally got around to getting the gauge installed a couple weeks ago. Gray07GT, you still interested in the gauge? It is only the boost gauge, not the entire gauge pod...

Jorge, since you don't work at Saleen anymore, I am assuming you aren't the right person to call if my dealer has any questions about the gauge...they let me keep it, but asked me to forward them 'proof' that you said I could keep it. I guess I will PDF this thread and send that to them...

Just send them the link to this forum. I told them back when we sent it to just let you the customer keep it.
