Default 07 GT vs. OLD Miata

It was a clear, dry day i was driving along Highway 6 in Sugar Land, Texas and i pull up next to an old beat up looking miata at a stop light. He reved his engine and i could hear the blow off valve LOUD. Im guessing somewhere around 12psi.. anyways Light turns Green and we both punch it. I had him by half a car after 2nd, but right before he hits third i hear an earshattering BAAANG!! I see him bog and start smoking as he pulled toward a drive-way and I couldnt help but laugh my @SS off!!! One of the funniest moments in a race I have ever experienced!!

So you can tell how much boost a car is running by hearing their blowoff-valve????[&o]

I don't care what kind of car I'm racing against. I don't hate some random person I've never seen enough to laugh my ass off at him grenading his motor. If I had time I'd probably spin around and see if he needed a lift, I know I'd appreciate it if the tides were turned...And your ability to gauge boost pressure by ear is not unlike Homer Simpsons ability to HEAR pudding.

I was thinking the same thing, nothing funny about someone breaking downlike that. Most likely going to cost the poor guy an arm and a leg to fix, if he can even afford to fix it.Should of looked out for the guy.......yuummm, puuddding[8D]

If its one of the low budget Greddy Systems the hose probably just popped off.
They have a habit of doing that. Of course their not even close to 12 psi.
