Oh yea I am so mad, seriously I could care less. This is an internet forum not real life. I almost feel sorry for people like you who cannot seperate real world from e-world.

I love how some cry babies just refuse to grow up. Like I said my Cobalt ran a 13.7 which was a full second slower than my previous Camaro SS so who cares. People just got all upset because I said that was good enogh to waste a 99-04 GT.

And guess what it was....

Clearly some of you just cannot move on and will always remain stuck in moments on the internet.

You want make fun of my other cars now too, my 2002 Camaro SS, 2006 GTO and 2007 C6?

Dude I'm sorry I brought that whole unpleasant Cody SS business up. But your a legend on this sight. You, Janine and a few other constantly come up in a street/strip conversation. It seams you haven't learned from your past so your doomed to repeat it. And as usual the entire world will be out of step with the exception of you. Why do you come to another makes sight and try to convince everyone that GM is simply better than everything?

Then bluebeastsrt4, your just as bad or even worst then all the others. I will admit a lot of people live on the GM>Ford/Dodge BS when no one really cares. Just let this thread die/lock just like all the other LSx vs Ford bull s h i t.

Stock for stock, I think the 3v would take the LS1 GTO in the 1/4 mile.

Stock for stock I think the 3v and LS1 GTO would be close, but I think the GTO would edge it out slightly. I have an issue of MM&FF (somewhere in this house) where they did a side-by-side comparison and test of an '04 Mach I and an '04 GTO, both driven by none other than Evan Smith, and those two were pretty close in the quarter for the most part. However, the Mach I slightly edge out the GTO on e.t., but the GTO edged out the Mach I on trap speed.
I don't know this for fact, but seeing as how the Mach I is a little lighter than the 3v and has a tiny bit more power, I would think the Mach I is a bit faster than the 3v. Correct me if I'm wrong though. So in other words, I think the LS1 GTO would take the 3v in the 1/4, but not by much.

As far as looks are concerned I think the LS2 GTO is pretty mean looking, moreso than the LS1 GTO. Cavalier-like or not, I know not to mess with one if I see it on the road!

the GTO wasn't really designed to be an all out drag car.  it was meant to be an all around good performer, not something for killing all at the strip.  before you go out screaming that the goat is slow, take one to a road course and run it good and hard. it'll walk away from Mustangs, and Camaros.  the only real down side to the car is it's weight, it just needs a diet.

It really wont. It's to heavy and leans in turns. Weight is the enemy of performance no matter if your going in a str. line or around the curves. They have run them in SCCA racing but thats far fronm the stock suspension their using..

T2GTO  --  Well guys and gals,

It is that time of year again.    I will be running the T2 GTO in the AT&T Runoffs that will be on Speed Channel at a later date.   The race will be held at Topeka, KS.   The race used to be at Road Atlanta and then at Mid Ohio (I believe for 12 years).   It was moved to Topeka's newly remodeled track last year.   I think something to the tune of 15 million was spent on the track.   If you live in the area, the race will be sometime on Sunday the 14th of October.    I will be there 4 days prior, practicing and qualfiying.   Come by and visit.   This race is the best of the best and a winner takes all deal.   Lots of contact and lots of high speed action.

My number changed from 01 to 15 for this race. I won the midwest divisional championship last year against the National Champion, Chuck Hemminson driving for factory Subi. This year I qualified for the Runoffs and took a bunch of time off to spend with my kids. We had a great summer.

Full cage
R compound tires
custom light weight wheels 17x9
custom shocks and struts
pedders OEM front/ rear springs
pedders heavy duty sway bars
Balanced and blueprinted engine
computer tune
drop in filter
cat back exhaust
race seat
5 point harness belts
carbotech front brake pads

It is still street legal and sometimes goes to lunch with me

Here are a few photos of the car in action:

Here is some video from the Speed race last year:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYLFfDoHpvI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yots4SpeKPI'

This one is good!!  Just watch it.  You can see the Evos/STI's & GTO are all really well matched, but in the vid these guys are running UP the azz of the LS1 powered Camaro.

That Driver, by the name of Chris Brannon, as well as fielding that GTO, also fields a S197 Mustang

Chris Brannon is a regular poster on ls1gto.com, he seems like a cool guy, looks like the Mustang is the high sponsored main ride, an the GTO is his solo "fun" gig.

lets get something straight here once and for all. When during all of the Cobaltss craziness was I wrong?

I said my car would beat a 99-04 GT and it would. I was not the one who strung **** out that was the die hard 99-04 GT fanboys. And where are they now most are in S197's and other cars. I am really sorry I wasn't one to just let **** roll off my shoulder I won't agree to disagree when the other side is plain out full of ****.

You say you have a 15 year old daughter so that hopefully makes you what 35. Don't you really think it's time to grow up a little. Do you see me taking shots at your stories or car? Seriously look at your car do you realize how easy it would be to poke fun. But I don't because I belive the whole to each there own harmony.

And please stop with the I think GM rules all, like I said before I will drive anything thats fast, handles and looks nice blue oval or bowtie. I give Mustangs credit where they deserve it and thats all.

Because those are respectable times for a 300 hp car, not 350 and 400 hp cars.

The IRS has a lot to do with the ****ty launching, too.

And because at 35-40K you would think GM would've made a GTO look like something else other than a Grand-Prix/Grand-am on roids.

The only difference I truely see is an extra pair of doors  and a different hood. The rest is just sad.
