some in here didnt believe that i beat a 600 w/ my car. that sticker is pretty funny on the maro.
Pretty sure that turbo 5.0 had more top end than your Eaton. I'm guessing you're around 450 rwhp? Most people that build a turbo stang will have 500 + hp. Don't forget a 5.0 is like 600 lbs lighter.
Turbos are a lot faster than blowers at the same boost. A twin turbo 03 Cobra makes 670 (or something close) hp at only 11 psi of boost.
i wasnt talking about the mustang, i was talking about how the SS kept up w/ the bike, and if it can do it, then my cobra could beat it. i have nothing for that fox in the vid. turbochargedpower.com has a sweet twin turbo set up for my cobra. but its like 7500 bucks.

To me it looks like the bike let off or somethin, but I am not saying that a modified cobra cannot beat a 600. Hell, blades (I think?) had a video out of his eaton equipped 03 running right with a 600 all the way to 130+ MPH.
While i'm a fan of both TA's, Camaros & Stangs ( i've had 3 camaros/ 2 stangs & 1 transam) lets do recall just how well those GM 305's compared to Ford's 302's. Not all to well. It took GM moving up to the 350 before they could get back the bragging rights.
Yeah everyone know's the 350 takes the 302's & 281's, but am i wrong or is that like comparing a 350 to a 400 or 427?
What you guys don't understand is that the 305 put out just as much power as the great 302....it was just in a heavy chasis.
IDK whether most of you guys will admit it or not, but go to your local dragstrip. ALL your fast cars are either SBC's or BBC's. GM has ALWAYS made more hp/dollar than anyone else. Ask the guys that run 9's and 10's and see what they run. I'll bet money it's either a GM or Mopar. Like it or not, it's the truth.
The quote is "Ford tough with Chevy stuff" for a reason. Cheap power comes from a GM.

lol you guys dont know what real engines are unless you've felt the pull of an N/A Olds 455 =P
also you have to give it up to chevrolet for putting out so much power out of their cam in block engines. dunno about you but ford needs to step it up a bit when it comes to performance =P
AHAHA!!! april fools ended a month ago..

The 350 may have made more power, but then again it's a 350 to a 302.. duh.. The camaro in the 80's and early 90's were ugly as sin, wheras the 5.0 IMO is a great looking car.. The camaro's interior was very plain, and a LOT of wasted space, plus you are laying down while you drive it, it is very awkward... The Camaro looks to be a foot wider, yet the cornering performance sucks compared to my 5.0, they had 7.5 rear ends with open differentials whereas an 8.8 and a Limited slip was standard in the Mustang..
If you want to talk performance, the engine may have made more power, but the rest of the drive train SUCKED! wheras the 302 made less power (a tiny bit) but had a better suspension, tranny, rear end, etc... And isn't the Ford 9" found in just about EVERY race application whether it be Chevy, Mopar, etc? So in stock form, they may be a little behind in power, but our aftermarket is 10X the size than the one for the camaro, which more than makes up for it
