Chuckdoc, thank you for digging that out. That is pretty funny. Now we are looking at a 99 s351 in another post. That would then be 3 Saleens. I want that job whatever it may be.

I think we need to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but because this community knows these cars and is technicaly pretty savy to go and find old posts etc. Folks just need to be honest and keep the BS to a minimum because at the end of the day. It doesn't matter. There is no reason to BS.

Anyways I gotta go do some work and pay my mortgage. And my 1 Saleen :0)

I think definitley the Saleen wins over the GT 500 hands down for stock comparison to each other, but, I also think the E isnt a fair comparison to the GT500.....more like the S281 SC is a more fair comparison. In which case still the saleen!!!!

Why are we comparing a Stock ford suspension to aftermarket cars that already have the confidence that their core custumer base wants a stiffer but higher performing suspension behavior. Ford can't take that risk. Erik

Well, if Ford decided to leave a stock suspension on a car with 500 hp, so be it. They could (and should) have adjusted it. Be that as it may, the only way we can really compare the 2 cars is without any aftermarket upgrades, otherwise all it becomes a battle of the $$ as to which is a nicer car.
