Default 295's rubbing in the back

I have 15in. weld rims with deep dishes in the back and skinnies up front on my 95 gt. My back tires are 295/55/15. They rub pretty bad in the back and I even have some deep gashes in the tires. I guess my question in plain and simple...what can I do about this. Could I get a different size tire that would fit on this rim and wouldn't rub. I really love the width of my tires and don't want to lose that. Is there one withjust a little lower profile?

sorry im a newb with mustangs, but from experience i would suggest looking into rolling your fenders. ifit works it would be a cheaper alternative then buying new tires. Plus you get to fit a bigger tire or rim
