Putting a head deck in to replace the stock unit is really simple now that they have the wiring kits already made with factory AND aftermarket ends. I bet i could of almost held my breath the time it took to unhook the stock unit and install mine. I now have a Pioneer Premier DEH-840MP (equivalent to the Pioneer DEH-8400MP) but a smidgin better. The control of the sound is superb. I also am using the Mach460 amps and speakers for now. Id like to find bi-ampable 5x7's i know for a while Kenwood sold sets like that. Plus putting in the new head deck saved me the time and hassle of cutting into existing wires to tap into a hi output for sub channel. I love my setup for now. It only gets better!
(By the way, I saw Best Buy selling the DEH-8400MP for like $499, which is a complete ripoff! I bought mine on eBay for 272.00 brand new in the box with shipping and have not had a problem with it in the year and a half ive had it.. might want to check there first if thats what you decide on doing!)
